HINTS AND TIPS

Basics:
  • Puyo will drop in groups of 2, 3 or 4.
  • The 4-set puyo are wildcards – you can alter their color.
  • When 4 or more of the same-colored puyo are together, they will clear.
  • When the center columns are filled (marked by the red Xs), the game will be over.

Fever Rules:
  • Every time you clear puyo, you will send nuisance puyo to your opponent, and vice versa.
  • Nuisance puyo can only be removed by clearing adjacent puyo.
  • Nuisance puyo are queued at the top of your screen before they are dropped. To keep them from falling, clear puyo on your current drop. Countering (offsetting) is the only way to build up your Fever bar.

Versus Tips:
  • If you have trouble offsetting, make groups of 3-colored puyo. That way, once an attack comes, you can easily clear a set and counter.
  • Each character has a different puyo drop set, so each one will play differently. Choose one that matches your play style: short chains, long chains, offset, etc.
  • If you need practice on making chains, play Mission Mode for a bit.
  • If you need a faster eye when you achieve Fever, try your hand at Fever Mode.

As with all puzzle games, the more you play, the more skilled you will become. Good luck and have fun!
