RE: Dragon God Bug
In NG+, against the Dirty Colossus (5-2 boss), I killed him at the same time he killed me. However, I was able to finish the game afterwards. Don't know if this disproves this glitch, or maybe it only happens against the Dragon God, or only on NG. Just though I would post my findings. --Doyourealize
I have had this bug happen; I died by falling in the lava immediately after killing the Dragon God. --Baotus
I would like to note that I was on my NG+++, and I decided rather than to continue wasting time I'd start a new playthrough. I was super reckless against The Old One (because he's so easy!) and somehow he managed to kill me (I was in soul form, as well). I killed him at the same time he killed me. When I loaded back up I was in the nexus, so I dropped back down to the room and claimed the Soulbrandt. At that p oint, nothing happened, and I am now stuck as well. This is very disappointing, as I have loved this game very much. I hope something can be done to resolve this issue so that people don't experience it in the future, and so that those of us who have been effected will be able to continue playing. - Zeni
I confirm, i died by falling in the lava immediately after killing the Dragon God and didnt get the trophy. This is lame because it was my first play through and i farmed ALOT to get all unique weapon and a decent soul level.
(6/9/2010)- This bug is not just from killing the Dragon God and dyeing at the same time. I first noticed something strange after beating the Dirty Colossus boss and not being able to access the 1-3 zone. I still moved on and played through. I beat the 2nd to last Dragon god ,but funny thing is the Nexus music changed to weird music(not sure if it's the end game music or something , but it was different) I then proceeded to the false king(the last boss) and after beating him I had no cut scene and I am still stuck in nexus!! Please fix this dumb bug it took me forever to get this far!!! -Tim
(7/29/2010)- Same problem here but I killed/got killed by the Old Monk. Now all I get is "The Old One and I shall..." and nothing else happens in the End Game. I did however got the sword and the Old One soul, and I have the Old Monk's trophy. Is this any different than what others have experienced ? Any hope for me ? UPDATE: I killed the Maiden in Black and that got me through. Thought I had the option to spare her but seems I don't. - Eicke
(05/08/2011) Hello I just encountered the bug...after 75 hours spent to complete the game. I died when killing the dragon god. Is there any pacth available. Who should I contact ??? please help.
(11/10/2011) Hi, I killed the leachmonger, then fell down and died, i believe this triggered the bug, because i'm at the end with no cutscene, please fix this, its gamebreaking, and i'm sure you've had more than enough time to fix the bug. -Ben
