Re: Format Change
- Eventually I'd like to make pages for each of the specific enemies which will contain the in-depth strategies that don't fit on the table, as well as what ever other extra details there are, full-size pics including of the variations, etc.
- I left question marks next to a lot of things, weapons in particular, since I was adding those by memory/screenshot. So any help there would be appreciated, though I'll probably get around to going into the game to verify.
- It's been a good while since I've actually played the game, so please look over the Difficulty and Strategy Notes column in particular. I might be off on some of the difficulty ratings, and way off on some of the strategies (or at the least, neglected some of the more important strategy notes)
- Any other input on change or additions to the table layout is more than welcomed
- The changes are great! I'm curious to see if this will make the page a very long one once there are 5 tables however. If the page does get too long, the tables could be shifted to their own page, for example, Boletarian Palace Enemies. This page could then become an overview of the different regions with a list of the enemies in each with a link the main page (eg, Boletarian Palace Enemies). But lets see how it goes with the other tables first :] Tig 15:53, 4 May 2010 (PDT)
- Yeah, at the very least I was planning on separating everything beyond the normal enemies to separate pages, since I thought it would end up being too much on one page. But now that you mention it, it would be best to separate them by region which could include normal enemies along with black phantoms and bosses for each archstone. I'll probably go ahead and start doing that way as I take care of the next regions, since doing that first one it was already a bit unwieldy having to scroll through so much when editing and previewing.--Richard 09:26, 5 May 2010 (PDT)

Enemy names that were listed here originally are the official names, as seen in the official strategy guide. And yeah, I'm aware that the term "Fat Minister" is still in the game in one or two places--that's actually more or less my fault.--Richard 01:23, 9 October 2009 (UTC)
Seriously people, stop changing the names on this page. If you want to reference the names that were used during the previous regions' releases, then do so in a note underneath their section, not in the name header.--Richard
Richard,I am 100% positive the NA release of the game which I own, says the word Storm Beast in the caption for world 4-4 Storm King area. It mentions Storm Beast as those little stingrays so please change the name. Baby stingrays sounds very silly and incorrect. Anyways if the boss i called the Storm King you would think that Storm Beasts makes sense. And further proof is in the Morion blade description on how it mnetions Storm Beasts. Thank you for reading and I rest my case. --Uber 20:28, 30 October 2009 (PDT)
I thought of a question the other day. At the end of the intro movie a large demon with multiple mouths is shown, yet I have never encountered it. Is this demon actually in the game and I just missed it? --Teiszler 06:26, 31 October 2009 (PDT)
If I'm not mistaken I think thats the Dragon God or just a random demon for cinematic effect.--Uber 07:26, 31 October 2009 (PDT)
First, yeah that is the Dragon God. Second, the reason why Baby Stingrays was being took to be the official name was because even though there isn't a concrete appearance of enemy names within the game, the game's documents did contain enemy names, which is where Baby Stingrays was listed. That said, because it doesn't appear in game, this never came up until the strategy guide was made, which based all the names off that documentation. Had we been aware of the Baby Stingray name during QA, we should've been able to catch that inconsistency with the mention of Storm Beasts in the various descriptions (which I'd completely forgotten about since) and corrected it for the guide. That said, I would prefer to go with what's said in game rather than the strat guide, so Storm Beast it is. Feel free to change it back.--Richard 09:26, 2 November 2009 (PST)
Thank you and osrry for any inconvience and I forgot about how much work was put in and little things slip through. But then again that's what us wiki-lurkers are for.--Uber 11:39, 2 November 2009 (PST)
As far as i can tell, there's no organization in the Enemies list. A basic organization per world would do and then either alphabetical or in order of appearance. Any thoughts on this?
Works for me.--Richard 09:41, 30 November 2009 (PST)
I vote on getting them sorted by world and alphabetically. Order of appearance can be managed in the walkthroughs of each world's section. (Simply because there are side-paths with enemies that the player may not face on their first time through. For example, the first Black Skeleton in 4-1) --Bloodycrow 10:23, 30 November 2009 (PST)
Is there a name for the things that explode in 2-2 and in 4-2 (the glowing orbs and the white lights with trails, respectively)? They aren't yet listed. --Bloodycrow 13:45, 30 November 2009 (PST)
Definitely not any official name, no. --Richard 19:08, 30 November 2009 (PST)
In regards to enemy drops, some items are listed as only dropping in Black WT. Any truth to this? I was under the impression that all drops, outside of maybe Black Phantom specific, dropped in any World Tendency, just that the drop rate is often so low you don't see it much outside of black WT. Mind you I haven't been playing long enough to really back that up. --Manadren 00:27, 1 December 2009 (PST)
I'm not entirely sure either, but I was of the same opinion; that they drop in all WT, just with a much lower chance the higher the tendency. However, the Pure Bladestone from only the Black Phantom Black Skeletons may be the example that proves the whole. --Bloodycrow 01:59, 1 December 2009 (PST)
I never noticed it on the item page before, but no, certain drops don't only appear with darker tendencies--they're just more likely.--Richard 09:37, 1 December 2009 (PST)
Though I don't know if there is any "official" naming for the regular monsters, the official guide and all other sources I've seen point to the squid-headed guards in world 3 being called "Octopus Men", though they are reminiscent of the Mind Flayers of D&D fame. Actually there similarity is as the more reason to differentiate them monsters of other rpg universes, but I digress. Keeping the name at Octopus Men also saves us from having to go back through and edit any links back to that entry and references to the monster. --Manadren 01:10, 23 January 2010 (PST)
