Armored Spider
Attacks:
- single fireball
- spider web shots
- triple fireball barrage
- melee attack
- drop attack
- flame explosion
The Armored Spider is fairly easy for characters using ranged attacks. Simply stand as far back as possible and use your ranged attacks while dodging any fireballs or webs that the boss spits out. With melee, it becomes a little more challenging. You will have to dodge the ranged attacks while making your way closer to the boss. The Armored Spider has three types of ranged attacks, a fireball, spider webs, and a barrage of three sets of three fireballs. Rolling or a good fire resistant shield will help you get through its ranged attacks. When you are up close, it will attack with its front legs. The attack can be rolled under or blocked with a shield. After it attacks about 2-3 times, its front legs will drop to the ground, so make sure to stand directly in front of it to avoid them. It will then be vulnerable to attack for a few moments, so make sure to rush in and attack it. The boss will then stand up and repeat this pattern a couple more times. It will then drop low to the ground and begin charging a large fire attack. At this time, it is best to run to the very back of the tunnel to avoid taking damage. Alternatively, with a decent fire resistant shield (such as the Purple Flame Shield upgraded to over +6), the entire fire attack can be blocked.
Halfway down the tunnel there is a column sticking out on the left side. Hiding behind this column will allow you to attack with ranged/magic while blocking all of the Armored Spider's fire attacks.

Level Walkthrough
Time saving/Straight to boss - When you zone in from the arch stone immediately start running through the corridor and ignore the Crystal Lizard in the middle of the large hall, its distraction could cost you your life. Continue down the tunnel to the right with all the miners and run straight through. Make an immediate right after making your way through and you will notice a walkway, and/or opening on the right side of the wall for you to follow. Do so and it will lead you to some boxes, break them and jump down to the platform below. Turn around, and look for the wooden platform below that. Note: You should not be aiming for the ledge with dirt, rocks, etc. You should be aiming for the ledge in the direction of the cave you just ran out of with the miners. When you have successfully made it down to this level you will see that you can jump down to another ledge just below that to the "north" where there is a cave waiting for you to explore. You can either do this, and possibly net yourself some ore from 2 crystal lizards waiting or proceed backwards and look for the wooden ledge below the on you are standing on. The one you are looking for is directly below you and vertical to the one you are standing on currently. Jump down and you will find yourself a Ring of Disease Resistance. Then you can jump over to the ledge that leads you into the cave. From here it gets tricky and you need a good eye to really look where you are going. Especially with only text for guide right now. Proceed to the opposite side of the cave where you can see the corpse on the support beam that has an unreachable item, at the moment, and jump onto the wooden ledge below. Walk all the way to the end and look below you carefully. There will be another wooden ledge just below the one you are on in a horizontal position. Jump down and from there you will see a ledge just barely visible that is vertical. When you jump down to this one turn around and proceed back to the wall of the side you just jumped, so theoretically the "east" wall. From this point to your left if you look down you will see a landing and in the short distance a ladder, which you don't need to climb but I mention for reference. Jump down to this ledge and you will see the ground at this point. Go to the spot where the ladder is, and see yourself a safe way down from there. When you get to the floor. You will be dealing with 3 Rock Worms, they can be easily avoided if you run into the tunnel which is your one way ticket to the boss' sub-lair. Once you enter you can take a left and deal with 3 more of them for a pair of Hands of God. When you proceed back you can get a soul and Ephemeral Eyes. If you survived all the way here congratulations.
Boss Strategy
Flamelurker
Attacks:
- fire blast
- leaping attacks
- basic melee attack
Flamelurker, like most other bosses, is much easier with ranged or magic attacks (except fire). Just repeatedly run away from his close range attacks and attack from a safe distance. Then repeat whenever he gets close. For melee characters, this fight is much more difficult. Using Sticky White Stuff on your weapon will help with dealing damage faster to Flamelurker. When dodging his fire blast and melee attacks, it is better to not be locked on to increase your mobility. Lock on only during the moments you are attacking him. After any big attacks, be sure to run behind or beside him, attack a couple times, then back away quickly to avoid any counterattacks. Also, avoid any of the small lava pools on the ground in this room, as they deal damag over time. And be wary when he approaches 30% hp, as he goes “berserk” at that point, with a larger flame forming around him and his attacks become much more aggressive. He is one of the more difficult bosses for melee, especially after he goes berserk, so be sure to kill him as fast as possible at that point, instead of trying to take a slower approach.
Ranged attackers are able to easily win this fight by getting the Flamelurker stuck in the environment. When the battle begins, run behind the enormous ribs at the far left of the room. The Flamelurker is not able to walk through the opening of those ribs, allowing you to attack freely. Occasionally the Flamelurker will find a way around or make it through using one of his leaping attacks however you can easily exit the ribs and trap him once again.

Boss Strategy
Dragon God
IMPORTANT NOTE (GAME-STOPPING BUG): There have been a few reports of players that have cleared all the stages and bosses of the game but not having the Maiden in Black lead them to the game's end event. In two of these cases we have found out that the player died from the Dragon God's final breath attack (not the fire breath) at the same time or immediately after defeating the Dragon God. Afterwards, the players were able to return to collect the Dragon God's soul, gain access to 1-3, and seemingly progress their game normally. However, at least one of the players was not awarded the trophy for defeating the Dragon God (we're still trying to confirm with the other players), and as mentioned before, both hit a critical bug when the end event should have triggered. Given the low probability that a player would die at the same time as killing a boss, it's unlikely that these players coincidently both did this, so it is almost certainly the cause of the end-game bug.
So when the time comes to deliver the killing blow to the Dragon God, please make sure to do so in a way that would avoid this. The most ideal choice would be to use ranged attacks, followed by making sure your HP is full, followed by only melee attacking him immediately after his breath appears and then backing off before to wait for it again. We sincerely apologize for not catching this bug in advance and will do our best to ensure no further players are affected by this.
Attacks:
- punches
- flame breath
This fight is more of an event than an actual fight. You must make your way through the area, activating the large ballistas along the way. If you remove most of your armor you will be able to move pretty quick. While on the upper level, the Dragon God will attempt to punch you whenever he sees you. Be careful, as a single hit is enough to kill most characters. To avoid the attack, pay attention to his eyes. When they glow red, hide behind a pillar so he loses track of you. If you do not go into hiding or are too slow to hide, he will punch you, going through any wall or pillar you may be hiding behind. After activating the first ballista, he will start to use flame breath attacks. These do more damage than the punches, so it is even more important to avoid them. Again, make your way to the next ballista without being in his sights for too long. This can be a bit tricky because there is a long distance between pillars and if the Dragon God sees you running to the nuxt rubble pile you are toast. Wait and watch him. You will see that he will close his eyes and lift his head seemingly in pain. This lasts long enough for you to run up to the rubble get one hit in and the run back to safety. Repeat once more to destroy the rubble, run back, then wait once more to run to the next ballista. After hitting him with the second ballista, he will be relatively helpless on the ground. Be careful though, as his normal breathing still causes damage. So make sure to attack him only after he exhales his fire breath.
