Royal

(Redirected from Royalty)
Royalty starts at Soul Level 1. This makes it the cheapest class to level at the beginning of the game. Royalty is almost like a blank slate; it only has basic stats, leaving up to you where to allocate your souls, as opposed as other classes which may already have allocated points in a specialized area. Another advantage is that they start with the Fragant Ring, which regenerates your MP and is a huge help, especially early in the game.
Pros
- Rapid development. Not satisfied with other starting packages? Royalty can grow quickly to be more like what you want. Good for specialization, if that's your thing.
- Spell selection makes the Magician envious: Soul Arrow is the most efficient of the starting spells while remaining sufficiently damaging and accurate.
- Fragrant Ring regenerates MP.
- Their Silver Coronet gives additional bonus MP.
- The Rapier can be used to attack while the shield is actively blocking.
Cons
- Low soul level translates into lower stats, so you'll be a bit more fragile. Specifically, you have the lowest hit points to start as well as the lowest stamina, so time your actions carefully and be ready to retreat.
- Light armor and shield compounds the fragile problem.
- Comes with only a rapier as initial melee weapon. Rapiers have a small hitbox, which makes it more difficult to defeat enemies without locking on (a dicey proposition if you intend to kill the tutorial boss).
- Limited range of the lock on reduces the efficacy of ranged spells (in general).
