Filthy Ones

Filthy Ones, more commonly referred to as Plague babies, are found within the filthy swamp of Valley of Defilement. Embedded within their arms are the plague infested weapon, Baby's Nail, which can be found at the back of the Fool's Idols' Church in the Tower of Latria, section 3-1.

This is one of the limited enemies in the game to drop Stone of Ephemeral Eyes as a rare drop. They tend to stay in packs for safe measures, and when threatened or targeted they take shelter under the dark, murky plague goo becoming invincible until they reappear.

If you choose to enter the plague infested swamp you will be greeted with a group attack so go in prepared.

Strategy notes

A powerful Bow works well as the Filthy Ones seem to take less notice of this weapon and you do not need to enter the plague pool to attack them. The Miracle created from the Dragon God's Soul, God's Wrath works extremely well, but you need to be able to cast it a few times.
