Endings Overview
Demon's Souls has two different endings, one "good" and one "bad." The outcome is determined at the last moment of the game and is not affected by the player's choices in the game until that point. Please note you may no longer level up after defeating the last boss in any of the five worlds. Speaking to the Maiden in Black will trigger the end sequence but access to the Nexus is still available.
King Allant
The real King Allant is a wretched mass that poses no real threat. He has but one attack that is easily avoided. End his suffering quickly.
Good Ending
Obtaining the "good" ending is likely what most players will do automatically upon completing the game for the first time. This is the recommended ending for the first playthrough. To get this ending, defeat the Old One after the Maiden in Black escorts you to the final area of the game and leave through the fog without killing the Maiden. This ending will grant you the Maiden in Black Demon's Soul which may be used for the Soulsucker spell from Yuria or consumed for 60,000 souls. A trophy is also awarded.
Evil/Bad Ending
To get the "bad" ending, continue with the procedure above but kill the Maiden in Black before returning through the fog. Doing so will net the player the Beast's Demon's Soul, which may be consumed for 200,000 souls, and a Red Eyestone which allows the player to place a message on the ground for other players to summon them as a black phantom. Following this path, you wont receive the World Uniter's Trophy.
