A gust of wind carries the crying voice of a child from somewhere in the darkness - Athena's nightmares began on the day the King of Fighters invitation arrived. Realizing that her dreams are a kind of premonition about the series of kidnappings, Athena clenches her invitation as she makes her decision to participate in the tournament. Can Athena, and her teammates Kensou and Bao, unravel the mystery of the connection between the tournament and the kidnappings in order to save the missing children?
