Amazon Not Shipping This One...Yet

For whatever reason, the game was flagged under Amazon's inventory by some user(s), and isn't sold by them for the time being. Here's the full thing:

As it stands, the only way to get the game from Amazon for the time being is from the marketplace. And I have this eerie feeling that the prices won't stay too level for long.

I'm guessing it has to do with the boxes being damaged. Mine came in pretty bad condition and I read other forums where people who ordered from Amazon had the same problem.

Mine came with the cardboard box crushed. I gave a 1 star packaging review myself, so that probably is why.

I spoke with a rep at Amazon today and he says that I cannot get a replacement for the time being but to try again in a couple of days. I hope I can do that soon.

My copy is still being shipped (was sent out tuesday) by amazon, ive read about that so im kinda expecting my copy's box to damaged, but i really dont care as long as the cd/game case is ok. Theres no way im going to send it back, wait a week, have them send me it back after another week. Ill take the slightly damaged cardboard box then wait another 2 weeks to play it.

My copy arrived from Amazon in perfect condition. I kinda wish I knew it was on PSN -- would've just downloaded it a day earlier than it got here -- but I'm glad to have the CD and gorgeous box to put next to Persona on the Collection Shelf, so...

Aaaand...the price is climbing up on the marketplace. At this point, it's probably better to visit your local gamestop for a copy.

But that said, the copy I got was the last one...in the entire city (Gamestop-wise). I don't know what's going on, but from the looks of it Atlus didn't produce a whole lot of copies of this game...

I was starting to wonder why it was taking so long to ship my pre-order, but then I saw the notice. Luckily it shipped out yesterday.

I don't really care about the condition of the box. Was just going to throw it away anyway.

the last few items I got game wise from them were in similar cardboard "easy open" type packages as part of amazon's newer campaign to simplify packing and unpacking. I wonder if the box the game is in is JUST a little too big for it and so when shipped it gets smushed en route...

^ From the comments I have read it makes it sound like the box is too big for the cardboard mailer and that they used bubble mailers instead.

They botched mine so bad. They are still shipping it after a rep gave me a refund and I bought a copy from gamestop. I've never seen such failure from amazon before.

I pre-ordered it, probably shortly before they stopped selling it. Mine's still in transit, so I'm pretty jittery about whether it'll arrive in OK condition or not.

Sorry to hear what happened to everyone's copies. Must be some faulty box setup, which really hampers customers service quite a bit. Doesn't sound right about Marketplace prices going up. Grr I feel really bad for everyone right now.

My copy arrived in perfect condition. It came in a cardboard box that was more than big enough for the IS packaging.

Guess I owe a thank you to everyone who helped bring this to Amazon's attention.

Min arrived in a bubble wrapped with no damage thank you West Virginia Amazon warehouse. Now that I look at the box I was hoping Atlus would have taken the suggestion I put a long time ago when it comes to special box editions.

just got mine in perfect condition, so im a little relieved (it was shipped out the day it was released) also came in bubble wrap, which didnt change anything really.

Got mine today in the standard cardboard box, attached to some extra cardboard so it wouldn't slide around too much. (Ordered it on 9/14 with the free shipping option). It was unharmed. I guess I worried for nothing.
