Let me be specific. They are required to take them. They just aren't required to actually pass them.

I was half expecting, based on you topic title, your reply to be the following:
"...full of raging fire!"
Even though it's the FLAME Temple, I would have give you some style points regardless.

I dunno, I found it OK. Despite being decidedly un-retro, I found that using the analog stick helps alot in making it easier to dodge.
EDIT: lolz, nevermind me. I thought this read "first" temple. Guess I should take English class again xD

I thought 'rediculous...' was going to be a joke about fire and the color red.
It was just bad spelling.

OK I finally got my game and just finished the Fire Temple. I don't see what your problem is with that. There's no monsters that kill you in one hit, even the stronger monsters took like 1/4 of my health bar at most and everything is countered very easily. Those knights are easily killed by freezing and the magic is easily gained back by going into rooms with magi and casting reflect since every mage always drops a magic bottle. The dragon isn't that hard either. Just use your boomerang...

Oddly enough, I think the Aqua Temple is one of the easiest dungeons in 3DDGH. In fact, the reason it's called "Aqua" and not "Water" is partially because of the infamy of OoT's Water Temple. We didn't want people going into there with a preconceived notion of its difficulty.

Then why wasn't the aqua temple have a similar level of difficulty as the water temple in Oot. I mean gamers will always find a way to solve it. Then again people were speculating in gamefaqs that the wind temple during its development you couldn't use your shield to block the wind. ppl who mashed through lee's tips still were able to finish the temple with more difficulty but it was possible to do so.

Why? Because that's not how they intended to make it. I'm sure you've noticed, but each temple has it's own little gimmick, and the Aqua Temple's is the block puzzles. OoT's Water Temple had no bearing on their decision, obviously.
And I have no idea what you're talking about concerning the wind blocking, or how anyone on gamefaqs of all places would be aware of any such glitches during development.

When I first played the game it was actually the JP version, so I had no idea what anyone was ever saying. As such, I ended up going through the Wind Temple without ever using my shield. Felt kinda foolish upon getting there again in the NA version and seeing Lee's tip. Though to be honest, I think I had more fun trying to dash through the wind gusts.
And Red, he was just saying that people were speculating that the shield-blocking-the-wind mechanic was implemented later, since the temple is possible without it. Like maybe the devs thought it was too hard trying to time your run through the gusts or dashing through them, so they later came up with the idea of using your shield to ease it.

Dragon can be brought into a loop if you do it right. stay by the door, keep hitting him, once he flies at you, guard up. You "shouldn't" be hurt, sometimes, he will get you.... but most of the times he shouldn't, and when he flies back hit him as he lands. He will probably shoot out one fireball and fly at you again. Just guard the fireball and the stomp and repeat over and over.

Personally I'd immediately move up to the top right to trigger his stomp, then quickly move towards the bottom/middle right to guard it, then back to the top right to take a shot at him after he lands (making sure to avoid the shockwave from it). He'll then immediately come towards you and go for a stomp again, since you're still at the top right, at which point the process repeats. In terms of how far right you should be, it should be just enough so that you're outside the horizontal range of his shockwave when he lands.
Doing it this way does require a full sword, but you shouldn't be taking and damage so that shouldn't matter. You won't ever have to deal with the fireballs, and guarding against the stomp to ensure you don't get damaged isn't hard, I just can't recall what exactly I was doing to avoid it. I think it had to do with the direction you're facing versus where the center of his stomp is.
I think I might be overlooking something else about this strategy though, like avoiding getting hit by him as you move to the top right where his movement range is. Also, the right side could almost certainly be interchanged with the left.

I beat this dungeon a couple of nights ago. Although it was difficult, I enjoyed it. There was some really good puzzles in there. The boss was tough but if you can figure out his patterns and keep your distance, hes definitely beatable.

The first time I got hit by the enemies that take your full life bar, I had just used a potion two seconds prior. I thought I ran into a glitch where my potion was negated The Boss is very hard though and stressing me out.

Hmm...
I had a problem with him early on...then I found a simple pattern. Run up to a corner on either of his side...wait til he gets close enough and attack...run as he targets you for a stomp, then he goes up to stomp the top...follow him and drop a bomb on either of his sides...
BOOM...
He aerial stomps again, repeat the above. Only got hit once! Pretty certain I can clear this unscathed.

I beat him yesterday, I don't why but it seems like if you use your dash move with a full power sword you can hit him easily when he stomps down.
