I hope this game gets localized. I loved the first two, I played the psp one until my eyes bled.

Good we're still pushing this. But I thought SEGA owned the rights to the VC series. Or am I just misinformed?

They own the Sakura Taisen rights too, didn't stop NIS from bringing Sakura Taisen 5 over.

Valkyria Chronicles is one of my favorite franchises to come around in the last decade and I adored the first two games and anything that that could be done to bring VC3 over to North America would be appreciated thank you.

I know this belongs to SEGA, but just posting to say that I eriously want this game, and if there`s any way Atlus can localize this, they have a guaranteed purchase from me.

I'm not giving up hope that someone will be able to convince Sega Japan to let them publish it. So I'm here to once again let the good people at Atlus know that I'm still interested, and I'd find a way to love you guys more than I already do if you made a NA version of VC3 available to us. Even if it's download only. Even if you cut out all voices but the battle voices. I'd like the DLC though. I want to be able to have all of the Valkyria on my team at one time.
Come on Troops! Let's show them we're serious!

For those wondering, Sega JP owns the VC IP (among others) not Sega US. Thus, if Sega US passes on localizing a game, in theory other US companies can localize it if they negotiate with the right people in Japan (I assume). That's why NIS brought over Sakura Taisen 5 without too much hassle.
So if the news is true that Sega West passed on the game, as it says in this article, http://www.gamespot.com/news/6339405...-us-and-europe, then I assume it's fair game for other companies if Sega West ultimately doesn't release it as a downloadable PSN title (which supposedly they are discussing with Sony, and will come to a concrete decision next time they meet).

I absolutely can't wait til all the nuggets gets angwy. Sega is a business people. Hence, they need to apply a business perspective.
Valkyria Chronicles sold like piss. Valkyria Chronicles 2 sold like s**t. What possible reason do they have to localize it? Other than...I dunno, lose quite a bit of money? Cause there's no chance in hell that the "profit" they make off of it will recoup localization costs. VK2 was already a huge loss for them.

Wow, the Extra Edition is on preorder at amiami for only 3300 yen...Wonder if I should just import the JPN version and wait until I finish learning enough of hte language to read it.....
Although, if a localization comes through right after my payment is processed I will seriously FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU.

Yeah, a million copies means it "sold like piss".
And VC2 was easily the worst game and a large departure from the original on the PS3. See, VC3 looks way better and I'm sure it would sell better as well.

Sega's business perspective is arguably flawed though. Any Business 101 class will tell you that advertisement is a major key to selling any product, and Sega pushes so little into advertising anything outside of Sonic that I wonder how they sell anything at all. There's an old saying that goes "you need to spend money to make money." Sega has apparently never heard of it. I'm pretty sure I've said this before, but I've seen more advertising for various Atlus titles than I have from anything non-Sonic from Sega, and I'd be surprised if Atlus had more money to spend than Sega.

Alright, smartypants. XD
Why hasn't Atlus advertised Persona 2? Or Rock of Ages? Or KoF XIII?
There's a word called "marketable." And to that word, you apply advertisement. If a product is marketable by wide distribution, you advertise for it. The wide reach and profit will hopefully recoup costs. Don't forget...proper advertising costs. A lot. Take Hollywood for instance. Proper advertising for a money sometimes exceeds half the film's budget. Nintendo in the past has pushed for vicious marketing campaigns for some of it's games. Earthbound more prominently strikes a chord. Yet, there's a reason why NOA never brought the rest of the series here: It was a loss. Advertising and all.
VK is a series that has proven itself unmarketable in the past. Same with Innocent Sin. But unlike Innocent Sin, VK's "loyal demographic" is even smaller. Innocent Sin was just big enough, and prominent enough, to bring over without much second guessing.
And then of course there's the obvious. PSP is dead. Live with that fact, cause the PSP sure as hell won't. Why would they localize the sequel to a game that sold horrendously badly on a system that's in the crypt?

Wait, wouldn't making a profit mean they recouped localization costs? If they "lost" money, wouldn't that imply there was no profit. Although, apparently most people said both games made a profit, just not large enough for SEGA to be satisfied (this is just hearsay though on gamefaq forums).

Rock of Ages was pushed for a while on the Steam main page before it was released.

Just saying, you can't release a ####tier game (which they should have understood; the fact that it wasn't as good as VC1) and complain when it doesn't sell better.

QQ MOAR! Seriously, you need to get over them not localizing games you THINK they should, or get off the forums. You've been beating a dead horse for a while there, and it's getting annoying.
