Ys Seven - Nihon Falcom - PSP (Action/RPG)
Information
Game: Ys Seven
Genre: Action RPG
Platform: Sony PSP
Developer: Nihon Falcom
Official Website: http://www.falcom.co.jp/ys7_psp/
JPN Date: September 17 2009
USA Date: ???
Media
- Screenshots from GameWatch
- First Official Trailer
Request Updates
07/15/09: First official trailer is finally out! Updated the rest of the game information.
03/19/09: Official request (placeholder) thread until more pics come out! Don't worry, you know I'll keep this up-to-date. Dengeki Online has more info on Nihon Falcom's next masterpiece, Ys Seven, confirmed for the PSP in Fall 2009. It will be preceded by Ys I&II Chronicles in July, but that's for another request thread. Falcom's official announcement PDF states that it will be a "simple and traditional Action RPG for the fans", mentions vast fields and breathtaking environments, it will feature "Party Play" (co-op mode?), Dogi is back and the game is a pure sequel to Ys 6, not a gaiden a la Origins or remake like Felghana.
Simultaneous worldwide release, Atlus USA? Pull another Odin Sphere, please!

^If I ever post a game request, I want to format it like that.
I hope others feel the same.
Also, if they release Growlanser 1 for PSP, I will buy a PSP. If I have a PSP, this is Day 1.
This is me adding my support tho.

I'm a pretty big Ys fanboy, so I'll pretty much buy anything remotely related.

If it's got Ys in the title I pretty much jump on it. ^^
So yeah, I'd love to see this game in English and would most definitely buy it.

Agreed! This game simply must be released in the USA... as should Origin, Felghana, IV (SNES and TG-16 CD), and V! (; One step at a time! I'm looking forward to the inevitable release of Ys Seven, and crossing my fingers that the best localization & translation company will join us in our gleeful anticipation!

Eff Falcom for making this for the PSP only (should have been a PC game like almost every other Ys) but yes, I would support an English release.
For the record, this will be a million times better than those Ys I and II DS ports.

^this.
Always loved Ys, but not enough to buy a PSP just for it. Then again, I'll probably buy one anyway for the MIP remake, so I guess it's safe to say I'll buy this on day one as well.

Not just Ys Seven, but also Ys I & II Chronicles, please. I know it's based on the Windows versions of Ys I & II Eternal/Complete, just like Legacy of Ys: Books I & II ("Ys DS" and "Ys II DS" in Japan) was, but it will be much better.

Didn't play I & II, but the fact that it's a PSP game already peaks my interest (not that it looks like a bad series in the least).

Wow, there's already a request thread for Ys 7?
Gonna have to throw in my hat as well. I would love to see more Falcom games getting released in the States, and we're already got a good start with Books I & II getting translated.

I definitely want this game over here. Ys is one of the most underrated RPGs ever, and there shouldn't be any reason for RPG lovers to miss one of its most promsing games.
