You didn't even preorder! I don't see why you're so upset.
Anyway, I've enlisted the help of my friend to help me look for the art book. Better to broaden your search scope, I guess; she's going to check two GameStops in Murrieta/Temecula for me.
I'm thinking of asking my sister who lives up there to ask at a nearby GameCrazy, too...

Preordered this at Waterloo, Ontario, Canada from EBgames, I called and they said no art book, so I did not bother to go pick it up yet, waiting maybe monday or tuesday to go see if it was shipped at a later date. It is ironic too cause they do have a little advertisement from ATLUS up with Persona 4, Luminous Arc 2, and Eternal Poison's preorder bonuses.

Pre-ordered this months ago with EB Games #1872 in Toronto. I called on Nov 11 the original release date and was told it was pushed back to Nov 17. I happen to be at the mall and checked out the store only to find the game on the shelf today on Nov 16 - apparently it came in yesterday. Surprise Surprise, they did not have the artbook which was the sole reason I even pre-ordered this game. Promising spoils to your loyal customers only to repeatedly disappoint them is not a great way to keep them loyal.

OMG! YES!!!! I GOT IT!!!
I am so glad I called my sister in Murrieta! I am extremely happy! When I called her, she was right by a GameCrazy, and she was nice enough to go for me I'm so happy they had it.
I'm just so happy that it's finally mine; you guys have no idea

I work at a Gamestop and i knew the artbook was coming, but because it shipped in a different box from the game entirely I didn't have one for the first preorder customer that came in. Luckily I know him personally and when we did get the books I grabbed one for him. Still, is this something Atlus can fix? Shipping the books with the games instead of in a different distro? It would make people missing out on the books happen much less.

Got my copy today and as expected didn't get the artbook. The guy didn't even know anything about it even though I had told him about it previously when I preordered it from him last month.
I explained that the web site said EB Games Canada specifically, but he didn't have any reply to that.
Are we going to get any official response about this? I preordered specifically to get the artbooks and have had no luck so far. I'm not very hopeful for LA2 and Persona 4's books now either.
I really want these items too. I hope Atlus will offer some sort of solution if you can prove that you've preordered it.

Seems like Amazon was mistaken with its delay notification, since they have EP listed as in-stock now, and they shipped my copy out this morning.
Now I just gotta wait a week and see if it came with the artbook. :T

I assume the easiest way would just be to include a note to the retailer with the games, saying that the store should just explain to customers that the books were shipped separately and may arrive within a few days or something. Better than letting people wonder about it.

I pre-ordered from EB Games. I'm not sure what the store number is, but it's in Winnipeg, MB, Canada, on Empress Street.
I didn't get an art book. When I asked about it, all they told me is that Canada never gets pre-order bonuses unless it's a really big release. So I'm sad, because I'll probably miss out on the Luminous Arc 2, and Persona 4 art books as well. I preordered Luminous Arc 2 with amazon.ca to see if I'd have better luck with them. Though I'm worried about that too, seeing as how others in this thread had theirs delayed until December... and I just recently had Valkyria Chronicles delayed for me.
I went to check out a few other EBs just in case, since some people in this thread said they got theirs at another location. So I checked out the one in Polo Park mall, and on Kenaston (I'm sure these names mean nothing to anyone... but I don't know how to get Canadian store numbers).
I have the receipt for Eternal Poison. I don't know if the store number is printed on that somewhere or not.
I should also note that I've only ever gotten 1 pre-order bonus... ever (excluding the ones that are included in the first shipment of a game). And that was for LBP. I have a few friends who have gotten pre-order bonuses in the past (not from Atlus), so I assume stuff is sent up here, but the clerks are less-than-honest. Seeing as how I can't pick anything up until after work, I have a feeling my bonuses just walk away before I get there. I know that some stores just hand out stuff on a first come first serve basis, regardless of pre-order. Or if for some reason, the stuff arrives at a later date, it's just handed out to whoever buys from that point on. For example, the pre-order bonus CD for Castlevania Order of Ecclesia, they were just handing out to people who bought anything. It broke my heart to see that.
I loved what Atlus did for Persona 3 (packaging the art book and soundtrack with the game). Because then I'm guaranteed to get it.
It makes me sad. I would've bought the game anyway, but I was really looking forward to the art book, especially because I love the EP art style so much. Is there no other way to handle pre-order bonuses? I know the problem isn't just Atlus stuff. At least for us up here in Canada (even more so for us in smaller cities (Winnipeg...)). From my personal experience, we never get anything, and what we do get is handled so poorly that the people who should be getting the stuff don't get it.

Don't get too much hopes up from Amazon, from previous experiences, amazon.ca don't give preorder bonuses, take my Disgaea 3 for example, preordered it there, even there was a picture showing the soundtrack as well in one of their pictures posted, when it came, no soundtrack.

I'm pretty sure the art book will come soon enough for Eternal Poison, being in Canada, there was an ad in stores promoting ATLUS pre-order art books so definitely the stores are will get art books soon. So relax and see what happens from there. If nothing is to come, trusted ATLUS will save the day provided we keep our preorder proof I hope. I remember they did it before, i believe for DDS2 Soundtrack

Pre-orderd as soon as I heard about teh Atlus spoils (long ago) but no artbook
Hi,
A canuck here and I pre-ordered and never got an art book either.
I remember last time this happened with SMT DDS2 Atlus let us pay for S&H and mail them the receipt to prove we did pre-order/buy the game and they sent us the music CD promo.
Can you extend the same courtesy again?
Also would be nice if you guys could bundle the art book with the game for the next 2 games on the 1st run for us.
I hate the situation in Canada as we have EB or nothing for pre-order bonuses but it's really a crap shoot on if we get those bonuses.
I tried to trust EB this time rather than spend the extra $15 dollars in S&H to EB US to get the bonus (they've stiffed me before as well).
Edit: my EB was 1779 in Markham ONT and I know they won't stiff me out of bonuses seeing as I've known the manager there from since I was working at EB more than 10 years ago.

I preorder the game at 2 different EB to double my chances of getting the artbook. I went to the EB at Lougheed mall in Burnaby, BC, Canada, and they didn't have the artbook. I cancel my preorder there and try again at the EB at Brentwood mall. They also didn't have the artbook but I brought the game anyways. So far I'm 0/2 for getting preorder bonus, hopefully I don't end up 0/6 after LA2 and P4 are release.

I must agree - a boxed set or something of that nature. This way, those who preorder will be able to get it without worrying - and the book or soundtracks themselves will not be damaged severely. And it could be limited to the 1st or 2nd shipments only or somthing. I normally never get any 'bonus' material unless it was packaged with the game, even though I pretty much buy any game on day 1. I just had to preorder this time...

Nope. Yesterday, the estimated delivery was in early December, now it's Nov 19th, go figure. Hopefully, the time we had to wait will be worthwhile, i.e. we will get our actual pre-order bonus.

Hey, here's an update~!
I got my book. But, I had to call a whole bunch of Gamestops/EBgames to get it. I finally hit it big on a Gamestop near my home. The guy I spoke to was nice enough to hold it for me when I asked and even cracked a joke about how most gamestops employees aren't as generous. ( Oh, man...seriously!) But I gotta say...the condition could have been so much better. The edges seemed worn and there were fingerprint stains all over the glossy cover. ( Sorry...but, ew! Pet peeve!)
Oh, well. At least I have it now. I'm a happy camper. I hope that the rest of you will be able to receive yours as well!! Good luck.

From this thread, one of two things is abundantly clear:
1) The problems seem pretty well isolated to Canada
OR
2) Canadians like to whine a whole lot more than Americans.
Personally, from being around here long enough now, my assumption is that it's a combination of the two.
Perhaps if it was AtlusCanada I'd have a bit more sympathy for you guys, but since it's AtlusUSA I find myself not caring a whole heck of a lot.

^ Such a terrible thing to say.
Still nothing from Amazon.ca regarding shipping of this. Anyone using them do let me know if you get a shipping notification, or (hopefully) the book. Thanks!.
Atlus specifically named Amazon.ca so my hopes remain high that theyll come through, if late.

Oley, how could you be so mean!? =( Canadians have feelings, too.
Oh, if I somehow manage to get another art book, I'll ship it to someone that needs it. Just a heads-up.
I doubt I will, though, since I already have mine, and I'd rather just leave them for those that are still looking.

I suppose my indifference to their plight probably stems from a standing history of them crying like this EVERY DAMNED TIME Atlus does something beyond the norm. Don't get me wrong here, I like parts of Canada (Toronto) and quite a few Canadians (Sei, Sanctine, etc) but the endless bitch-fests gets old.

Heh, I thought this was funny. While this can be true sometimes (Hey, people 'do' whine or complain, in polite terms. And not just in CAN/USA), I think most of the time it's just people that want to get their money's worth. I mean, you put up 5 bucks or more for a preorder bonus and not get it? That just sucks, dood.

What's worst than someone complaining about something? Someone complaining about complaining. Really Oletheros your attitude is exactly why the world hates America because you think everything revolves around it. Worst of all it's the US that has the most frivolous lawsuits in the world. Bet if you could you'd vote for Bush for a third term
