Post here if you pre-ordered, but didn't receive your art book

When I called yesterday, they said they received the game but didn't get the artbook - though they said they still had some boxes unopen due to the busyness of "Wrath of the Lich King." I haven't picked up the game yet - and I'm not sure if I should.

Should I wait til they get the artbook before paying the remainder, or pay and wait? This is my first time preordering something, so I'm at a complete loss.

Since my Gamestop hasn't gotten it - does that mean they ran out? Is there any way for me to confirm if I can't get it anymore, because the 'limited' supply?

I'm not sure if I should buy from Gamestop anymore, since I'd normally purchase from a non-franchise store - I was hoping to test run Gamestop with Eternal Poison, and if everything went well, preorder Luminous Arc 2 and P4 right after. Preorders are nice and all, but it sure creates a lot of problems...

You might want to include a bit more information, you can go to gamestop.com and use the store locator and get the store number and information and add it to your post.

I went to pay for the game today, and I confronted them in person. In the end, they ended up sending someone to another Gamestop to pick up a book for me. Suppositely, that book was suppose to be mine - but when it arrived in my hand, it was heavily damaged - with folded pages and bends...

I'm guessing there's nothing I can do about that, right? Suppositely, none of the other Gamestops have any, so I can't even get an 'switch.' I don't suppose I can mail it back for an exchange? Heh.. well, atleast I got it.

I hope the preordering for Luminous Arc 2 will be better.

They had the game but no artbook at the time so the ASM there called the other 4 or 5 stores in the area. He located one for me that was about a 15-20 minute drive, offering to have it shipped to their location but I chose to drive out there since I was already running errands.

What worries me is that I preordered P4 from the same location back in the summer and do not wish to run into the same issue.

Guess I shouldn't post just yet but I have a feeling Canada locations will not get the artbook. When I pre-ordered Yggdra Union at EBGames they didn't even hear about a soundtrack included with the game and my brother happend to be severely angry after that incident. The game was already delayed an extra week for some odd reason, I just hope the artbook is included as well. Let's not forget the Canadian audience.. you guys have a lot of fans up here. Don't make it seem like you guys don't care.

Went back today to Game Crazy and I was able to get the artbook, hopefully things will go better with Luminous Arc 2 and Persona 4.

hmm remember that preorder items are in LIMITED quantities so even if you preorder, the publisher doesn't necessarily send enough preorder items to retailers... and sometimes, the preorder bonus comes late, like after the game releases (*cough* like the namco soulcalibur4 keychains)

best bet is to come early on release day or call a couple days ahead to check on your preorder & its items... hehe i've even waited some days for them to open their shipment because items come just that afternoon

p.s. some employees don't know about the preorder items so make them check for you!! if it's not in their store, they can call another to check

and yes i did preorder from GS and my GS did have the eternal poison artbook in stock so stores should have them or they've all been given out

Arg, I'm really worried about Canadian orders. I just checked my email and I spotted a email from Amazon, I clicked on it hoping for shipping confirmation. I was disappointed...:

Well I only pre-ordered EP a couple days in advance, so I guess I don't have too much to complain about. I left it till the last minute cause I couldn't think of a 3rd game to filler for free shipping after ordering P4 and Luminous Arc 2. So I only ordered when Master of Monster Lair came out ^_^;

But damn, looking at the expected arrival dates on Amazon the game may arrive as late as 12/23 with my free shipping

Did you use free shipping and order other things along with it? If you did then it did require you to lump the shipments together and would ship once everything has been released, hence the late shipment date. That was one of the thing about the free shipping with Amazon.ca, next time just order them separately so you don't have to wait for the latest item released for the entire thing to be sent.

Though it looks like you'll have one heck of a holiday present when you do get it.

I called a bunch of places, and one told me they gave their last one yesterday (goddammit), and another told me to call back on Monday, so I'm hopeful there's a breakthrough with that one.

This was the art book I was looking forward to the most, so I'll get it no matter what.

Heh. That's just it - Amazon.ca says that the "latest item" is EP. They're not getting it in until the end of the month or some nonsense like that.

That's why you only order extra stuff that's in stock. Also if you just get a DS game or something small they'll usually split the shipments for free

I hope the massive delay is just because of the artbooks and they're just figuring out how to fix up all the orders. I'm not in a hurry for the game myself (my backlog is a couple hundred games long), I just really want the artbook
