Default Issue #6: TO MARKET, TO MARKET! (ANNOUNCING PERSONA 4)

Making a major game announcement is often a complicated process. While it does in the end come down to planning and execution, there are a number of factors that are significant considerations. Very often, underplanning nets a less-than-thrilling reveal. Sometimes, overplanning can result in too much of a tease (an announcement of an announcement, if you will).

When Atlus unveiled Persona 4 to a capacity crowd at Anime Expo 2008, we went in prepared for a variety of possible outcomes. Revisit the path we travelled en route to our official announcement of Persona 4. It's more involved than you think.

I liked the beginning of intro #1 and how the 'channel' changes from game to game in #2.

I still want a P4 shirt.

lol, I imagine the "pause" was the equivalent of everyone scratching their eyes to make sure they were actually seeing what they thought they saw until the moment it finally "computed" in their brains.

It's always a joy to read a new PD.

I saw a couple of people with P4 shirts at Comic-Con. Needless to say, I was jealous. I instantly plotted how I could acquire said shirts.

...It's pretty bad when I consider freeing them from their mortal coil as my first option.

Very good PD. I definitely liked the second intro over the first.

That was very ingenious. I loved it. It was the best game intro I´ve ever seen
