Congrats on getting everything back in line. I am a bit sad to see anything from about a week ago til nowis gone.. including a certain thread that i won't mention.. but also a number of my PM's gone. Are you looking to restore or is this th best you guys could get?
still.. thats not a lot lost so I commend the effort

I was wondering the same thing. Seems like I looked again at just the right time.
I hope things can be restored, but if not that'd be also fine.
either way, congratz and thank you for your effort

I'm not sure. It looks like everything prior to Sunday got nuked, but they're still working on restoring backups. Maybe we'll get the missing stuff back.
Edit: It turns out we're missing stuff from back to Friday.

Yeah I was going to say.. I see stuff missing well before sunday.
Not that i personally miss anything.
I also wanted to say as of right now the site is extrremely slow in response and load times. I am guessing it is either getting spammed by everyone who couldn't log in for 24 hours.. or maybe IT is still working on the system and so it's just generally busy. If not.. hopefully it irons itself out eventually.
(i am east coast, btw, in case the techs are curious).
the ping to the base www.atlus.com seems ok though. max 113ms response time. Guess it's just the forums.

I don't notice any slowdown, but I definitely notice a big thread missing from recently.

Something in the atlus.com domain got hacked to make it look like the site was infected with malware. (It never actually was; if you were getting those warnings yesterday, your computer is safe.) We had to shut down the web server and transfer our data to a new machine, but our most recent backup for the forums was a few days old. Any data loss along the way is, I would like to emphasize, unintentional.

I see. Yep, I did get the message yesterday, but as you said, in the details Firefox showed me there were no actual danger.
Oh well, I just hope everything is okay now

Nice to know nothing important was lost...and that I don't have to look at a specific thread for a while.

You could just not click on it.
Glad to see everything up again, though. I was getting worried when I saw the malware alerts the other day.

Nothing of value lost since I wasn't around much during that time anyway. That should put everyone at ease now.

Yeah there was a number of people who likely lost their accounts and are trying to log in and don't know why they can't.. kind of sucks.
But hey least you got to pick a different name

Right you are! At least I realized quickly that it rolled-back and made a new account. I had the confirmation e-mail right before my eyes...

Maybe I should start a new thread, because 1. It'd piss you off which you deserve since you don't give two ####s about stuff that actively hurts other people and 2. I doubt whatsisface apologized for basically going, "Trans people are an outlier, so I don't give a #### about them."

DarkRPGMaster was offended in the last thread. Maybe you don't remember.
Well everyone was offended now that I remember.

Yep. And just a note, it's offending to assume someone (or everyone) does not give a ####, when that may not be true. But of course, you should know that better than me. I'm sure of it.
Either way, the thread is up again, so please let's not take it out here.

Yeah that's my thoughts exactly. Go have a pissing match in another thread. This thread's topic is about the site going down and losing a chunk of time/data because of the problem that was had. It is referred to in other threads and a lot of folk that return to find missing posts or lost accounts will likely be coming here to try and make sense of what happened.. So this is inappropriate and derailing.

Have been unable to see any threads on here until just now. Was the site having issues? I kept getting a weird database error.

Yeah, we were unable to get a maintenance notice up in time on the forums before said maintenance started happening. Sorry about that. I'm not sure if it's all fixed yet or still ongoing.
