Eternal Punishment is actually being remade on the PSP. They're also adding a new scenario showing what happened to Tatsuya after the end.

It looks more like an enhanced port to me (that's not disparging it though, I'll still get it if it's announced here).

New scenarios sound sweet, especially the fact that it is written by Satomi Tadashi..

It's a Persona game; I'd say there's a very high chance of it releasing here.

I really hope the port comes out in the US, since Eternal Punishment is the only Persona game I don't own, and I don't want to spend $50 on a used copy from Amazon.

Yeah I spent 100$ for a brand new copy,I dont buy used games since I bought one once and had to repetedly buy it again because the disks either froze or where scratched so I kinda learned my lesson there. I think EP should get this version, If for no other reason than most fans of a series seriously balk at dropping 100$ on a singular game...I mean people who played innocent sin will now most likely want EP(especially if they havent played it befor)...and paying 50$ for a used? game is rediculous...so im just kind of waiting for when Atlus officially announces it because I honestly think they will.

As a collector and a huge fan of Persona 2, this has to get localized cause I just like things to be consistent. I can't imagine Persona 2 innocent sin sitting on my shelf without it's other half and call me crazy but I favor Eternal Punishment over Sin. I just hate when something doesn't feel complete if you know what I mean.
I have the Ps1 copy of Eternal Punishment but it just doesn't look all that awesome compared to what Sin looks like on the psp in terms of art and how my psp copy of sin perfectly aligns with Persona 1 enhanced psp port and Persona 3 Portable.
Then theres that giant jewel case block that Eternal Punishment sits in.

Oh yeah, I'd definitely buy the PSP version of P2 EP if it came here. Pretty sure Atlus can bring it over too despite the Vita burying most PSP releases; Raidou Kuzunoha VS. King Abaddon came out on PS2 2 1/2 years after the release of the PS3, after all (love that Raiho plushie ).
You guys haven't disappointed me very often (and even then it was mostly due at least in part to outside factors), so I'm trusting you for this too.

Well, P2 EP(Or rather BATSU) was announced for the PSP in Japan to be released. However, I don't think the game will arrive to the USA.... This because the PSP is more or less dead now... There is still a slim chance that might happen but if they started working on the game after its released in Japan, they will end it by FALL 2013, and the PSP system will be really dead and it wont really... sell.
How to solve this? Only one way: Nag Atlus USA about how much we want a P2EP over here. If we all requested it together they might just bring it over here... We ca always send Atlus USA messages and request, make this thread popular enough ad start demanding the game, that will work! We can get it here, I am certain. Who is with me?

I hope P2EP will get localized as that the PSone version will probably not get a reprint.. The PSP is not dead in Japan; still lots more upcoming games..

I really want this to be localized. I wouldn't care so much if there wasn't that new scenario involved, but I'm extremely curious about it.
I'm a little worried about the lack of announcement, but I'm hoping that Atlus will get around to it after P4G and P4A are finished. Let's positive thinking and all that.

As I near the end of Innocent Sin, I'm also waiting for some kind of announcement. Sure, P2 ain't the best MegaTen I've ever played, but it's damn interesting and I wanna see how this story concludes.
Y'know, on the PSP with the lovely interface upgrades that came with it (otherwise, I could live with the PS1 version).
I also want "Anderu Mukajiri" to be deja-vu boy, instead of "Tatsuya Suou," and that's only doable on PSP.
However, I'm not worried. Persona is the biggest MegaTen name in North America by far, and besides, Atlus USA brought us Raidou Kuzunoha vs. King Abaddon! To me, that virtually ensures everything that could have "Shin Megami Tensei" pasted over its title will find its way here.

I really, really hope that Eternal Punishment's PSP version finds it's way over here; it would be great if it does, since then you could play all the Persona games on one handheld.
I am a bit worried though; the PSP market is mostly dead in the West. While releases like Growlanser IV are giving me hope, I can't help but be a bit pessimistic; after all, it would be a terrible irony if we missed Eternal Punishment after getting Innocent Sin. XP

This will probably get localized when they finish with Arena or Golden... but who knows. I really want to play Eternal Punishment in the PSP. Persona 2 is the best Persona in the Persona series... for me.

I very sincerely hope they release PSP EP here even if it's only on PSN (so no UMD version). I've been holding off playing IS waiting for an EP announcement.
