Fresh from the oven, even if it's mostly similar to the japanese opening.

Hopefully said video being advertised promotes more preorders!

Yep. Unfortunately this opening movie will only attract people who either (a) like Growlanser but haven't heard this game was getting localized yet or (b) people who just like anime cut scenes.
I hope at some point Atlus releases a good trailer. Preferably one that showcases the gameplay like the gameplay trailer for Game of Thrones. While the art is cool as far as anime goes, the game play is really what sets Growlanser apart from other JRPGs.

In many ways, yes. I hear the battle system is most similar to Growlanser III: Dual Darkness but all Growlanser games share many common elements: themes about the devastating effects of war, dating sim / romantic subplots, and strategic battles where you are rewarded for defending NPCs and completing other mission objectives. If you liked any of the Growlanser games you should love this one as its considered one of the best in the series by many fans.

I heard that this one is the hardest and im not exactly a hardcore gamer, i played both HoW and Persona 4 because they had New Game plus and my brother finished it before me, mainly most games i played where already completed by my brother.

Was going to type a kinda long post here but realized I couldn't really gauge how difficult Growlanser IV might be. I'll leave it to the guys that have actually played the Japanese game before. However, I'll make note here that II and III were probably of medium-medium hard difficulty depending on the maps. It would not be a series I'd recommend to someone new to Strategy games in general unless they were looking to have a challenge.

This game also has a new game + option. I have also heard this one is more difficult than the other Growlanser games but there are some opportunities to grind / increase your level to make the battles easier. There's a bonus dungeon and areas with re-spawning enemies so you can defeat weaker enemies to make your party more powerful. Also, you can find "blessing bells" which are an item that essentially make your characters level up faster.

Glad to know another female growlanser fan, now this Growlanser is the hardest on the series, i think this is one of those games that need a difficulty selection as the game like to kick your ass, but not all the game is hard some missions are hard (Only 10 comes to mind) but you only have to change your strategy and learn the necessary skills for victory. The bonus dungeon can only be accessed near the end of the game and Blessing bells are hard to come by so that is not an option. However there is a colisseum that is available midtrought the game and by comleting it you cant get rings and gems that make the battles a little easier plus you already played HoW so now you have the knowledge of the battle system and accesories (Gems in this game) function so ithink you are ready for this game.
get yourself a copy.

It is a good thing that the opening movie contains the original song unlike previous Growlanser titles that got localized. I really look forward to the battle voices..

The english song of Grow 3 was much better than the japanese one, however Grow WoT opening song is good but i prefer the ps2 original.

I just hope someone thinks to add subs to the final version.
It's not too late.
