Any information about the theater quest creation?
I know about the added stuff from If, but I know very little about the rumored(!) quest creation. Is it still intact, and if so, how does it work?
If it doesn't exist, is it true there'll be DLC quests or some such?

Lol, I feel you. For a feature everyone is totally amped up for, nobody really seems to know what it is and how it works.
I'd tell you if I imported, but I'm just as curious as you are.

Do you think they will let you create your own dungeons or will you have to re-use the in game ones. Will there be text limitations. I'm already formulating ideas for quests in my head. What are your predictions and or hopes?

Honestly? I think we're just getting the two added quests, and those rumors won't amount to much. But I hope to be proven wrong.
DLC would be good enough for me.
Quests like the (ridiculously difficult) Philemon bonus dungeon in EP's post game.

The remake also includes the whole new Sumaru Climax Theatre, which features sidestories written by various other authors from Atlus. The stories are like quests and in the end, players will have to face a boss. Additionally, players can make their own quests. "PlayStation Portable Remake" <http://megamitensei.wikia.com/wiki/Persona_2:_Innocent_Sin>
Confirmed but still very little info about what making a quest entails.

That was from the original release news, if I remember right. Have Atlus USA said anything about it?

They've been releasing trailers with the game's highlights. Maybe there'll be one about the quest creation feature before the game's release.

About Climax Theatre
I heard there was going to be DLC for more quests, and for a quest creator. So far I've seen no news of anything like that, so I will ask this (albeit I have a feeling I know the answer). When will we see this DLC for Innocent Sin?
If you're wondering why I made this a thread, there are alot of people asking this question so we might as well all know the answer.

Gahh, I forgot about that thread. But it still stands that we need some clarification on this, since Quest Creation WAS promised.

As has been the case with other similar games and their custom content features, a number of challenges—technical and otherwise—prevented the inclusion of the basic creation/customization functionality within the Climax Theatre for the North American release of Persona 2: Innocent Sin for PSP System.

I'm just going to merge these two threads together.
And, before people ask, no, we really can't go into the "why"s and "what happened"s here, but it was not a decision made lightly, and it was not a case of something being removed just because we're the Big Bad Publisher that hates fun.

But you're not directly denying that this part is still true, correct?

The only thing I want to add here is that this isn't true. At no point from the NA announcement to the release was the Quest Creation aspect mentioned in any press releases, Faithful blasts, or website updates.

If quest creation wasn't promised, then what is all this?
http://andriasang.com/comuii/
It even says Famitsu is teaming up with Atlus to make their own special Famitsu quest.

That's for the Japanese version. Why would Famitsu create a quest form an English audience?

Whoops, I mistook who it was referring to again. Japanese were promised, we weren't. Just hope you include it as DLC one of these days.

So the Japanese have quest creation on their game, but they took it off for our version? This makes no sense to me.

Look up why Disgaea 4's custom maps were removed from the US version. I bet any amount of macca that's why this was removed. Potentially offensive user-created content.
I'm glad we got an answer, at least.

So I have to wonder.
Did you only come out and admit to this because someone emailed you about it?

While it is true that you never outright said that the create-a-quest feature was going to be implemented, there's still the technical lie by omission. The original JP version of the game had the quest creator, and all the online preview sites were talking about it being one of the new features of the game as a whole, so of course everyone is going to assume we'd get the game just like the original JP version of the release. There was plenty of hype for the game and a lot of people would obviously have known about the quest creation in the JP release, so there's really no excuse to have not nipped this problem in the bud and told people BEFORE releasing it that the creator was cut (instead of having to find out post-release).
I'm happy I bought the game as it supports you guys, but I find it very disappointing that Atlus US decided to handle the announcement of the cut in such a half-hearted and shady way especially when you tend to avoid such tricks for any of your other games. Atlus is one of my favorite companies, so I'd hate for the company to start having a trend of not letting people know about altered content until after release.

Not too annoyed by having the Quest Creator removed (probably wouldn't have used it much), but is there any news on the JP DLC making it's way over here, or was it just completely removed as well (as in we won't get any DLC quests)?

It seems like at this point in the PSP's life cycle (death cycle?) any DLC for the NA version would have been included on the disk.

PSP games still have DLC. I see no reason why we can't still get the DLC quests, at least.
Heck, I think that would be appropriate.

Guys....running around in those random encounter dungeons with auto battle is only so much fun...how much would you gain from USER MADE DUNGEONS?

It's the principle of the thing. I honestly didn't care much about the content myself.
The If quests do sound pretty rad though, and I would more than likely purchase new Atlus-created ones.
