Issue #11: CREATING AN ART BOOK
The bonus art book... Quite the prized collection for the avid gamer.
For many, it's about having the art from their favorite games
presented in an easy to pick up and view book format. Whether
you love a good art book for what's inside, or because of the fact
that it proves you're a hardcore fan, or maybe just because you like
how it looks on your shelf, there's a fair bit more that goes into
making one of these prized extras than you might think.

Going through it, I was going to ask if she had to do the trio; judging by the second-to-last box, she did? Haha, poor girl XD It seemed like she had enough problems with P4's
Overall, nice PD! Nice style/format, too--I'm mostly glad that the writing was legible And, again--as always--it's awesome to find out what goes on in making stuff.
Is the person who did this PD also responsible for the text [in the art book]? Specifically, character bios, background info on locations, etc.? Or is it just a matter of "I have these text files for this certain thing..."? Or does someone else write out the text for them? I doubt they "play" the game as they work on this, right?
Well, that kinda goes into what I want to ask next: with most art books, I refuse to look at them unless I've beaten the game, for fear of the dreaded spoilers/too much info thing, so, will I be able to flip through the art books right when I get them? I'm guessing since I'm anal about any info, I shouldn't?
Anyway, I'm sure I'll love the art books! Thanks for your hard work/tears/sweat/blood! I'll make damn sure I get them from GameStop.

Wow, Atlus really assures top quality art books for their fans... Keep it up Atlus.
Sad part though I'm not sure if I can get a visual data book Persona 4 because I'm from the other side of the planet. Sucks to be me.

That was certainly an interesting way to go about doing a Production Diary. I wonder how long that took.

Now I'm curious about what lead to the shenanigans with the P3 artbook.

Thanks for another awesome production diary.
Now I can finally show some proof that an artbook takes time. I manage my friends' artbooks for conventions and they always say that you don't need to organize them in anyway and I'm always saying that there needs to be a flow. Maybe now they'll listen to me.

Same here. I'm anticipating the LA2 artbook most of all. Hopefully I'll get a copy, since I pre ordered the Atlus Spoils at ebgames in Canada. Though this production diary made me think about the P4 artbook, and how much I want that.
And the only reason I pre ordered EP was because of the artbook. Otherwise, I would have waited and carefully considered whether it was worth checking out. Anyways, Moo and Atlus might like to know that the artbook granted them at least $40 in additional revenue(I would have pre ordered P4 and LA2 anyways), so the effort may have paid off.

This is a really great Production Diary! It makes me want the artbooks even more I'll be getting the P4 one since I pre-order P4 from Amazon.ca so I'm really looking forward to that.

Wow...it's really inspiring (and amusing) to see you guys write about the progress of your work! It looks like it takes a lot of time and effort. Well in that case, don't worry, Atlus, we appreciate all the blood-sweat-and-tears you shed on creating all the xtras for us. So, we'll continue supporting ya. Keep up the good work and hang in there~!
