Anyone re-playing before R-Type Command 2 comes out?
Seeing the trailer for the new game got me nostalgic so I've been doing missions in RTC again, and playing a little vs against my brother... trying out some ships and tactics I didn't use the first time around (like not wave cannon spamming my way through the Bydo missions). I can't wait to see the sequel now.
Taking on another player is hugely different from flying through missions, the strategy aspects are much better balanced when you're up against someone who actively builds his fleet to deal with each side's major threat units.
