Anyone else worried about the $40 price? Will this be an AAA game?

Amazing. Thanks, Atlus. This makes me happy.
The Cursed Crusade looks fantastic; this makes it an unbeatable deal!

It was never a "AAA" game. No game Atlus has ever published is a AAA game. I don't really see why that matters, however.

My only real concern when I see it released at this price point is, it feels like Atlus is saying, the game missing some key features to allow us to charge full price. I am by no means bashing Atlus, I think this is good to make something affordable for fans. I guess I am just one of the few gamers who don't mind paying full price for a good game and seeing one these days released at a lesser price raises some concerns in the quality of the product.

I paid $20 brand new on release day for Deadly Premonition and it's been one of my favorite games from this console gen ever since. This is a positive and nothing more until proven otherwise.

If I had to take a guess, I'd say it being released at this price because Dark Souls is released the week before it and most will be buying it over Cursed Crusade much like myself.

Chill with the pessimism... the game looks better and better with every shred of media they reveal, I mean it looks astonishingly good, and people are worried about a $40 price tag? You should be thanking them.
On Amazon.ca, this game is still listed as being 59.99, and the CAD is stronger than the USD... what's the deal with THAT, Atlus? :/

Same with Gamestop.ca as well.
This is the only issue with me not preordering the game already from Amazon.ca or Gamestop.ca, love the price drop and would totally buy it...if the retailers actually support the new price.
Atlus, please get in touch with them and have them change it! I have the items bookmarked so I check the price updates whenever, so please tell the Canadian retailers to lower their prices...

VGP has had it listed for preorder at the new price for a while now.

If you haven't used them before, I highly recommend them. I buy most of my games from Amazon.ca, but I still buy some through VGP, because they tend to have a wider stock. Amazon.ca still doesn't carry stuff like EDF:IA and I know I've bought at least one Xseed game from VGP that wasn't available from pre-order on Amazon.
I think I'm probably going to wait and see what the reviews are first, or at the very least until there are more previews available. I've got a ton of games to play already and have experienced way too many disappointments with games this gen, so I'm a little cautious.
Well, it looks like Amazon.ca has finally fixed their price...just saw it today while updating my wishlist. Time to pre-order! :D

What is with the controls ? It feels super heavy and the camera is very bad? My player gets in the way of the camera? Otherwise nice game.

I like the weighty combat and controls. I agree that the camera can be a nuisance at times, however.

price is something that helped me to get it for sure, especially with all the games that came out around the same time.

it is definitely worth the 39.99$.
theres almost 40 missions (all potentially coop) theres like 14 different weapon combinations, all with specific combos that can be upgraded via the "victory point" system, that works by completing primary and secondary (collectable) objectives.
theres also attribute type abilites that can be upgraded using the VPs.
tons of violence, the curse gives you 4 specific powers you can utilize @ will, as long as you have curse energy to burn.
there are 4 difficulty levels to choose from, the last of which has to be unlocked, at least adding some replay value.
the camera can be a little quirky, this can be easily overcome by manipulating the RS, otherwise it does have a mind of its own.
the story is not bad, basing fiction along w/ some historical fact pertaining to the 4th crusade. esteban provides some comic relief throughout.
all in all, not worthy of all the bad publicity its getting. i have played much worse games for alot more money.
bottom line, even single player, this game is fun and thats all that matters IMO.

The game was on sale for 20 dollars, half-priced but I didn't buy it.
I don't like medieval games but that was a good deal though.
