Alright what the hell is wrong with you people for not making this thread sooner? Just because Saycke doesn't like Smash Bros. doesn't mean you have to all cower in fear.
Post your friend codes! I am heading over to my friends because I don't have Wi-Fi, my stupid router bricked on me a while ago trying to update the firmware some guy recommended.. :x
I will edit this post and update it with everyones codes.
Discuss your matches! Yesterday me and Hito went at it but I ####ing sucked and failed miserably as Toon Link. Today will be different though I have been using Snake frequently and I ended up kicking all of my friends asses last night.

Actually had a better connection in random matches (and with some guy in Japan) than I did with a guy half a town away. Magical, isn't it?

I will but I won't be playing online until Wednesday. There is no way I am going back there, they have fleas now. It's terrible, not even the beer helped me relax.
I need to buy a new wireless router, and a new GC controller this week.

I don't have access to it right now, so I'll post it later..
Does anyone else have trouble versing "strangers" on Brawl? Whenever I try, I never connect to anyone. I thought I just had a bad internet connection, however I'm able to watch games using the Spectator mode and also I'm able to use the Wii internet channel...
I don't understand why I can't actually play games though..

Not online, since the service sucks.
Locally though I prefer low to no items with smash balls and Dragoon turned off. Usually random stages.
Characters: Wario, Luigi, Ness.

I play a bunch of different ways. Online, it's usually all items off, 1v1, any stage. With friends, I turn on select items to make the matches crazy :P
You may not know this (since you say you don't do online), but the Spectator Mode has disappeared. Ever since, I've been having lag-free With Anyone matches...a connection, maybe?

I played all 3 smash games, they can be pretty competitive, going to fighting games level, if you turn all items off. My friend plays pretty competitively and is pretty good (he does a lot of pro stuff, like short hop, advanced edge guarding, etc), but he really hates brawl, says it's not competitive. It's really retarded that the make of the brawl officially said that he doesn't want the game to be competitive, ironically the exactly opposite thing Melee acheived. In fact, there are people hacking the game so it behaves like melee.

You're probably getting it mixed up when he stated he didn't want leaderboards in Brawl because he didn't want people to feel bad and just have fun--that hardly means he doesn't want it to be competitive.
I'd say I'm pretty damn good, too, but unlike your friend, I love Brawl. It's definitely the best for me--the soundtrack is a major part of that reason.
Well, is anyone up for a game? XD Preferably if your connection doesn't suck ass.

Well to be fair I haven't tried since I got my wired LAN adaptor, so it might be better for me now. My connection is good, it's just that the wireless gets clogged with so many users.

Hey, what's your guys' favorite song for each stage (that you can remember) you like? I don't know about most of you, but one of the big bonuses of Brawl to me was its massive track list.
So awesome!
Final Destination: Final Destination :P
Luigi's Mansion: Tetris: Type A
Spear Pillar: Battle with Dialga/Palkia at Spear Pillar!
Pirate Ship: Gerudo Valley
Castle Siege: With Mila's Divine Protection
Port Town Aero Dive: Dream Chaser
Shadow Moses Island: Encounter
I'd say those are my favorite stages, so I always like hearing my favorite track for each one; however, Brawl's soundtrack is awesome enough that I don't mind when my track doesn't play, since everything else is great, too. Of course, it's the same for almost every other stage, but like I said, these are my favorites.
Zephyr
11-07-2008, 11:12 AM
Yeah, the soundtrack is pretty great.
Delfino Plaza: Delfino Plaza
Pirate Ship: Song of Storms, Gerudo Valley
Bridge of Eldin: The Dark World
Frigate Orpheon: Opening / Menu (Metroid Prime)
Spear Pillar: Team Galactic Battle!
Castle Siege: Attack
WarioWare, Inc.: Ashley's Song (JP)
Shadow Moses Island: Encounter
Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Bros. 3
Those are my favorite songs, not necessarily the stages themselves.
Favorite stages would be:
1. Delfino Plaza
2. Battlefield
3. PictoChat
4. Pirate Ship
5. Mario Circuit
6. Yoshi's Island

I'm not sure if it's my connection that's wonky or the other people I play with, but matches go smoothly most of the time... but sometimes there are periods where there's a massive slowdown that seems to affect everyone.
I wish I could see my own connection rating. Maybe one of you guys can tell me how it is after we have a match.

I have no idea how you can control Lucas's PK Thunder with the input lag we get (it is both of us, right? Not just me?) That's one of the characters for me that gets it up the ass with lag...gah. I was impressed that you managed every time, though.
Anyway, that one match with the four of us was horrid  I saved it so I could see it in real-time :P And yeah, I had to bail out 'cause I didn't think I could handle more matches like that, but with just you and me they're all right.

We did like frikkin' 15 Jigglypuff matches at the end too, haha (I hate the suprise Rollout kills you did at me ><). Most of the matches had a tiny bit of lag though, but it wasnt that big a deal.
dragonlife29
11-28-2008, 11:15 PM
My favorite Jigglypuff match was on Norfair; I'm so glad it was under 3 minutes so I could save the replay--too much win from both sides to not be able to see it again. I think the only other one I saved was the Marth vs Kirby match on Frigate Orpheon.
We're both pretty damn good with the 'Puff! I look forward to MOAR! :D

My friends refuse to play the regular game, they'll only play the hacked version.
The point of the SSB series is to pit Nintendo characters together, you ruin that by throwing in random anime and final fantasy characters...
