I was really hoping this would star Hrist, the 3rd Valkyrie, but either way i'm just happy we're seeing another VP game.

Not much to go by looking at the screenshots, the artwork looks pretty much like what you'd see in the series, not too sure about the sprites though.

I like the look of it, so far. I'd have to get used to the idea of the isometric view. But either way, good stuff. I'll buy it.

I thought they would've released a new VP on the PS3 or 360, but the DS sounds alright. And I agree, it would've made a lot of sense to star Hrist.

From the looks of the second screen, I bet it will be. It definately won't be side scrolling, that's for sure.

Like I've said before, Japan needs to cut it out with this RTS ####. Leave that to us. We're much better at it.

This week's Jump magazine contained a tasty treat for Valkyrie Profile fans as Square Enix reveals Valkyrie Profile: The Accused One for the Nintendo DS. Developed by Tri-Ace, the game is the first in the series to feature a male protagonist, a disgruntled soldier named Wilfred, who hates the Valkyries and is out for vengeance using a magical feather given to him by the queen of the underworld. Screens seem to indicate a combination of the traditional profile view as well as an isometric view similar to games like Final Fantasy Tactics, though at this point such details are more speculation than anything solid. A bit of a departure for the series, but with Tri-Ace behind the wheel I cannot help but be a bit giddy at the prospect of more Valkyrie Profile goodness.

Male protagonist? For Valkyrie Profile? I dunno about this...

How do you know why I didn't like it, Saycke? I've played games with mechanical beings in them before. I generally do not fancy those type of games, but I do not dismiss them based upon the inclusion of robots alone. Even if I did, I honestly wouldn't care what you think. I will continue enjoying the types of games I do (and perhaps I will try others and like them also) and I suggest that you do the same. It's only a waste of time arguing about why you think my tastes are "wrong". If you want to give your opinion, then give it. Don't bash me for mine.

No, actually. I have read about and examined other titles in this series for the Playstation, Playstation 2, and PSP throughout the years and have always thought them to be quite intriguing. And it did seem quite epic to me in my opinion; I rather fancy ancient Norse legend.

I really love Asgardian mythology and the inclusion of Hel as an important character really caught my interest. :) I think the change in formula(male character) might be a good thing. It could really help keeping the series fresh.

Also, Tri-Ace plus VP = most probably a day one title for me. (Which raises my current "day one" list to a grand total of... 2! The other one being FFIV DS. Yeah I need to get a current gen system.)

It was a thirty something second long FMV of just Lenneth in the field of lillies and she flies away. No gameplay at all and nothing new I've seen.
