Nexus Suicide Fail

I'm ashamed to tell you this but thought I'd give you a laugh...

So I finished the last boss and get revived at the statue in the Nexus. I'm carrying about 2,000,000 souls on my SL74. The floor has opened up and I nearly fall into it, but I carry on running to 2nd floor to suicide.
I jump off and return as a soul at the statue. Stupidly I automatically run forward to collect my souls on the stairs above.
I fall into the pit and die, and lose my souls.
Suicide fail. It was at that moment of disbelief I turned the game off and blamed the beer I was drinking.

Has anything similar happened to you that you are reluctant to admit?

I invaded 1-3 once, circled around with the host by the fountain, rolled away... in the fire and died.

i did the same thing as noblood except with my 712 and about 90 million souls :(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(

I have to assume you had that many souls because you don't want to level right?

So you lost souls you didn't really want?

Also why did you want to be in Soul Form?

yes, i didnt want to lvl up nor xcould i so yes i suppose i didnt need all of them. i wanted to be in soul form for coop.

Ah I see. I figured at this point you'd go straight for the final boss and on to NG+.

Depends, what kind of beer was it? I don't think you should blame the beer.... Thats not a PMA (Positive mental attitude) how long had you been playing?

Lmao, been there done that. Although I didn't have nearly as many souls on me when it happend, so I just laughed at myself and continued playing.

It was NG+ already and I still had some black tendency events to do, plus a bit of farming with my new LSOS!

Beer was Kronenbourg and it was late at night. Probably wasn't too sharp.

I actually did nearly the same thing as the OP. Had an outrageous (relative to my SL) amount of souls, and evacuating from one of the worlds back to the Nexus, stupidly forgot I was in the end-game, and fell into the bottomless pit of doom..

lol 1 time i thought id grab the colourless demons souls in 1-1 and i had 1.5m

I went and grabbed it then died trying to get down. I said fine ok my bloodstain should be on the floor right? Wrong it was on one of the rafters and i died a second time :s

The fall is long enough for one to Quit Game or Load Profile via the game menu. :)

Another time I was suiciding on the 2nd floor (again with relative large amt of souls to my SL) and I left my soulstain on a ledge just below the 2nd floor.

Everytime I touched it, I was in a position where my only option was to die, as I couldn't go anywhere from it but drop (and die). Another fail.
