Trading (in need of certain ores)

Hi

Im getting sick of farming for certain ores now that there are no more geckos left to be killed. Also, I accidently poked the filthy old man in 2-2 with my sword, and because old people are stubborn, he is no longer willing to trade with me.

At the moment, what I am looking for is:
?? Shards and Chunks of mercurystone
?? Shards and Chunks of marrowstone
?? Shards and Chunks of moonlightstone

(?? means im not entirely sure (too lazy to check exact amount atm), but incase you have any of the ones listen with (??) let me know and I will find out asap.)

I will be more than happy to accept these for free, but incase (and most likely) there is something you would like in return for these, this is what im willing to give up at the moment:

74 Shards of clearstone
12 Chunks of clearstone
01 Pure clearstone
05 Shards of dragonstone
01 Pure dragonstone
65 Shards of darkmoonstone
13 Chunks of darkmoonstone
01 Pure darkmoonstone

I have more ores to offer now, just tell me what you need. I could give most of them for free if you could help me move a few items on to my other character, contact me if you're interested.


Please note that I intend to update this thread when I am in need of other ores, and will also update what kind of ores I have, but have no use for anymore and would like to trade for something else.

I've always wondered why people decide to post although they have nothing to contribute to the subject, perhaps you could answer this age old question of mine?

Furthermore, I never said I was too lazy to help, merely that I am tired of farming for hours and hours hoping I will get a couple of ores so that I can upgrade a specific weapon once or twice. I want to actually play the game, not repeat the same process for countless of hours.

This isn't just a lazy mans way of getting his hands on some free ores, im trading the ones I no longer have any use for, for the ones that I am currently looking for, which is beneficial to both parties.

I just thought I'd explain this to you seeing as you didn't seem to get the point of the thread.

look no ill will and all that, but it seems you want these ores to obtain platinum. some of these ores requires huge amounts of time spent on farming (specifically blade stone but others too) which many people such as myself took time to farm. if you had come here with one or two ores you needed i wouldnt have a problem, but dude that list is epic and by doing things your way just cheapens platinum, which youll probably use as bragging rights even though you didnt complete it yourself. plus im sick of these trade threads.... thats all hope i answered your question....

its always better to get them by yourself. you get more satisfaction out of it. no ore is impossible to get. just might take a little time. i have found 4 pure bladestones in my time. many of the stuff you want can easily be obtained by playing the game.

Well yeah, ofcourse I want platinum, don't we all? I don't personally see it as anything to brag about - it's just a game, although a damn fine one.

I understand people who went through all the hassle of obtaining these ores themselves feel cheated when someone else tries to obtain them by trading, but really, everyone plays differently and to be honest I really don't want to go through countless of NG+s and hours just to find a rock.

I understand the list is quite substancial but like mentioned, I plan on updating it, and only because I made the thread doesn't mean I will give up on searching for myself, I will also update it by removing stuff I already found in-game. I simply added all the ones I needed to reach out to a broader audience.

Also, I understand these threads can become quite annoying after you've seen the same ones a few times, but you could simply avoid reading them, correct? My intentions were never to annoy or piss anyone off with this thread, I just wanted to do some trading..

The ones I've found myself after a few hours of farming has not filled me with any satisfaction, more the feeling of time wasted, and that's not saying anything about the game, it's just im not the type of person who can do the same thing over and over again without loosing my mind :p

I probably have some of the ores you want but my level is way lower than yours. Just a suggestion, why not start a new game with a new build, do what I did. Ask the vets for help. They more than willing to help those looking for assistance. If you having probs with farming in certain areas, or as myself, I left someone a message asking them about a specific weapon and how I can make it more damaging mainly when farming the crystal geckos, (which I have a problem with in some areas). Make your new character either a level 30-40, 80-90, or 120. 120 is probably best for what I'm going to say next. Level your 108 to level 110. Better that way. Find a friend or someone willing to help you with trading who is around that level. If, (while playing the new build), you aquire the ores you need, give them to friend, quit your game, and load the 108 character and have that friend give them back. That way you have what you need. This is just a suggestion in case you can't find anyone. But make sure with the new build, you don't use those ores for anything other than trading them to original profile.

Someone was kind enough to give most of the stuff I needed for free (thank you jesus.. no really, that was his name o.O)

I've already made 2 other builds that I play when im horribly sick of farming on my 'main' character, a mage build and a faith build. Too bad there's only 4 character slots though as there's probably a few more I'd like to try.. a dexterity build for example..

I probably wont be leveling this character until ng+ though, it's not really a specific build and probably suck horribly at most tasks, besides, I want to be challenged to the point where I start crying in ng+ :p

Wait until you get there, only boss I have probs with is the king, I can't play an NG+ game solo. Hopefully with my new builds I have been getting help on I can do it. Getting better at flame lurker now thx to a couple of great advisors.

Well, just blazed through 1-1 without a problem. Guess that doesn't show much though seeing as it's supposed to be the easist level, but we'll see how it goes. Flamelurker <shivers>.. Not looking forward to that fight on NG+, that's for sure! Probably the only 'hard' boss in the game, as the others haven't really given me much trouble, except for the learning part of each one on my first playthrough.

Yeah, that does sound like a good idea, but im probably gonna stick to 1 profile for now. Something tells me not every build is going to be fun for everyone, so hopefully I will test some out and determine which ones I'd like to continue with, and which ones aren't quite my style :p

I know what you mean about difficulty in NG+. I've just completed it on my SL74 char (vit35) and it was brutal. I needed co-op with 1-4 King. He is too difficult with no-one to distract him.
I'm not going to bother with BP Satsuki, he can keep his Hiltless!

NG+ isn't really that hard. It took me like 40-50 hours to complete the game the first time through and it took me about 15 for NG+. And NG++ doesn't seem harder than +...it's only a slight increase.

That said, trading for 2 ores is valid in my opinion. Chunks of Cloudstone and Prue Bladestone. These 2 are retarded hard to get.

I'm currently farming Prue Bladestone and it sucks. If I can't get it this week I might be asking for someone to let me ... um .... hold their sword? <---that doesn't sound good :P

I think I will try getting that particular stone myself, got quite high luck due to the fact that my main weapon is the BBS.

@m_Sum: To my surprise, I havn't had any problems in NG+ yet, except for those damn platforms in 2-2, I can't seem to memorize them properly. I recently killed the Flamelurker without any problems what so ever, wasn't even close to dying once, kind of a disapointment (except for the fact I didn't have to jump down the platforms again lol).

Then again, I havn't really done much in NG+ yet, finished 1-1, 1-2 and all of world 2 so far. Only boss im really concerned about at this point is maneater, man I hate those flying bullies.

Yes, that would be nice. I have lots of other ores and some duplicate weapons if you want to trade something. Just ask.

I hate to admit that I glitched the 1st maneater on ng+. In hindsight, I could have probably killed them both (maybe!) as my strategy of hiding behind the fire brazier and prodding the 2nd with a blessed mirdan hammer+5 was working well. The only boss I needed help on was false king. It is more to do with someone distracting him as on your own he's relentless.

the only ores that i'm lacking are a chunk of marrowstone, a chunk of cloudstone, and a pure darkmoonstone.
