How is this possible?..

Hello all! So after playing a few months of demon souls hardcore, i decided too fully concentrate myself on PvP, and calculating stuff too see what stats would maximize my damage / health as good as possible combined with a good amount of stamina.. Now i'm currently SL 95 and i've been testing out alot of things due too Invades / being invaded. I myself am a KBS user.. I just enjoy this weapon so much, it's unbelievable and it has alot of potential in my eyes... now the real stuff begins.. I'm just completing 1-3 while getting invaded by a BP, I totally forgot too cast Second Chance but that didn't rly matter, so i'm running back, trying too find a good spot and see what typ of weapons my enemy uses or if hes using magic / melee (wich is quite obvious by the items he wears). So i see hes a double katana user.. Now i noticed hes gonna run past me so i take a good position too pull off a backstab and it worked, taking off 700 dmg, about 60% of hes hp, so i thought i had a good start. Now we started running around in circles waiting for the other too open. I charge in with a running attack and i miss, he backstabs me and BAM, i die.. He one shotted me with 1350 hp using 2 katana's, not using 1 for more dmg.. And it basicly was a minimum of 1350 dmg, it might've been more.. Now can u please explain me how he can pull of 1350+ dmg with a katana, not even enchanted, while i was using a KBS +5 enchanted with cursed weapon doing 700 dmg? I've checked some damage calculators and my KBS should've done more dmg then even a sharp +5 uchigatana. And a makoto / gripless could never have done much more.. The same happend again when i invaded someone in 4-1.. He was using Brand, wich gets no benefits from being upgraded, and just one shots me with a normal attack.. Not even a backstab / riposte.. How are they able too pull off so much damage? it's just insane... Any idea's?

^Maybe he switched to a Fatal Estoc +5. It kinda looks like an Uchi from afar. :)

This is more than likely the case. Its often difficult to tell the difference because there basically identical in length. And fatal estocs always deal about 1100-1300 dmg or so.

I can imagine that a fatal estoc can do so much dmg, but explain me the Brand one shotting me with just an auto hit then :)

I've just heard that people can actually lose stats and add those too another, for example, - 99 luck / + 99 strength.. I've read on the wiki they removed it.. Do u think these people would still have it. Cause i can imagine them having 99 str their dmg will be insane.

No I doubt it and even if they had 99 strength it wouldnt be thaaaat high. From 50-60 STR I gained like 5 dmg... And im sure the returns diminish even more after 60.

I dont understand this question. Are you saying he was using Bramd the weapon? And what do you mean by auto hit?

Lemme explain it short, i haven't rly been clear.

He did about 1350+ dmg with Bramd since it cut me off my second chance with full hp (1350) just doing a rolling r1 attack.

probably hyper. Did he have low health?

Fatal +5 can do massive damage on backstab.. around 1500 and 2200 on riposte.

No he wasn't hyper since i died before i could even hit him oO. hyper means clever / morian activated right?

yeah but he could have been in hyper before you invaded. Did you look at his health bar?

Yeh, i've noticed that alot of people one shot me tho :o (i play on asian server) it's quite akward, with the most retarded weapons aswell oO

Was his uchi cursed? A cursed sharp uchi would do abound 450 base damage I think. Then add foes ring 20% + phantom bonus of 20% or so you're up to 650. Then double it for backstab? Not sure where these things add or multiply. I've done 1350 damage with a crescent estoc before. Though the estoc does get better damage on backstab, but of course I did not have it cursed. It may be possible this is just what happens when you add up all his bonuses. The curse being critical.

Damn. I can not explain this. If you are sure he was not in hyper then maybe there are more glitches or exploits we are unaware of.
