Tonight, I can't seem to connect at all. It'll say "logging into Demon's Souls server..." just fine, but when I load the game, I can't write or read messages, don't see bloodstains etc.

My Internet works normally, and I see friends online and chat works on the PS3... so is it just me or is the DS server having issues?

This happens to me to, ill get randomly logged out of DS server and still be able to play normally without getting kicked, but i cant see signs, or bloodstains. Normally i just quitgame and load back my profile, and if this doesnt work I log off of PSN and relog, and that works 70% of the time for me ;).

I didn't get a chance to log in last night, but it's been doing the same to me. I never logged in before the other day, so I'm not sure if this is a new problem. It'll sign in just fine, and for a short period I see messages and bloodstains, but I seem to get kicked out within ten minutes or less.

That's what I normally do, too, and yes, normally just quitting the game and relogging in the DS server fixes it... but yesterday was just no go. I hope it'll work tonight. I want to play online. :(

yeah no problems here either. Could be your connection? I had lots of issues when i was wireless

I imagine it's my connection somehow, since others have been playing just fine yesterday night. But I was not using any torrent software, the Internet was working fine on my computer (and no lag or slowness or anything), and on PSN I could join chatrooms and see my friends online. It was just the DS server specifically. Grrr...

Could be just a simple DNS downtime problem. If it works again maybe that's what it was.

This happens to me also. What I usually do, if it doesn't work after I re-log in, is play a different game for a little while and then try again. It has worked everytime I have done it.

I had my system connected via cat-5, and found that the DS "server" was kicking me out periodicaly. As I was never singed out of the PSN. I thought it might be the switch I have, So I changed my settings to wi-fi and have not had any trouble since.

If you have a wireless router it might be worth a try if it ever happens again.

Just tried to log in, took a bit and then failed and started in offline mode. I closed my profile list and reloaded and worked. So yeah issues ):

It's working fine tonight. Phew. I guess my connection was pissed off at Atlus yesterday but now they made up. :p

as you've guessed by now, it's most likely the connection, or some intermediate piece of hardware... just like, on occasion, your connection on your pc, etc, might periodically reset and temporarily boot you. Happens more with some service providers than others.

it's kinda wierd that i like never seem to have connection issues but my friend has a lot of disconnections while we play even though we basically have the exact same type of connection.

this problem had happen since october 6. But i say wireless sucks. i always get DC when i use it. But now i got wired. And it works flawless havnt got disconnected yet

my connection is wireless and it works pretty well for me. might be because my ps3 is pretty close or idk

The first couple of times I tried to stay connected to the servers it dropped me out within 5-10minutes, quite annoying.

Now that I've been playing online for a couple of times it doesn't seem to happen that often anymore, not sure if it's a coincidence but to be perfectly honest I don't care much as long as it works now :P

But yeah, having to quit and reload everytime the server kicks you off is a major annoyance, but I kind of doubt anything will be done about it considering the game wasn't exactly released yesterday..
