Temple Knight - the class sounded cool and it reminded me of the Paladin in D2. I deleted this and made another character because I used up all my Firebombs before Phalanx. I also did not like the 1-handed polearm moveset (I didn't know then that the 2-handed moveset was op).

Barbarian - I liked the high Str and high Luck stats (w/c I falsely believed was very useful), I finally used the Firebombs on Phalanx but I still wasn't able to kill it, so Delete.

Hunter - finally, I found my first long term character. I chose this class because of his modest Luck and Dex, and he starts with an axe, bow, and an armor set that didn't hamper fast rolling with the starting Endurance stat. I tried make him a Dex build for PvP but I misallocated his stats . I eventually RIP'd him after getting the Soldier's Trophy because I ran out of profile slots and I wanted to make another build (I didn't know that you could make a new PSN then). :)

now i only use temple knight, because you can go anywhere with your build without wasting stats.

i started with a royal b/c i typically like spell casters. it worked well in pve (killed vanguard on the 1st try ^_^), but i invested to heavily in mag and int to pvp effectively so i eventually created a barbarian to meet my pvp needs.

Started with a female Wanderer, because I liked the high luck stat (falsely believed it was useful too haha) and high dex stat, and I liked the general description and feel of the character. Little did I know that it's considered one of the least n00b-friendly character apparently, haha.

Second character is a male knight for my faith build -- I wanted to try a miracles-using character since I never bothered levelling up faith from its initial 7 on the Wanderer. Of course, it turns out that all miracles except Second Chance and Evacuate are pretty much useless but hey... had to try it. :p

I have a third character, a female royalty, that I am trying to build as a (mostly) magic-user. It's only SL 47 so far though, I mostly use her for coop play with friends who are low-level.

By the way, no offense, but how could you lose against Phalanx? I had wasted my firebombs by badly aiming them, but I still defeated the boss with my Wanderer on the first try. Phalanx is one of the only bosses against which I've never died, regardless of playthrough (some bosses are silly pushovers on NG but managed to surprise me with OHKO on NG+, for instance).

I started with a knight because a normal melee fighter with a good armor felt like a good choice.

Started with a thief. Had no idea what to expect from this game and after playing wow for a year I figured thief would be a really high damage class (like a rouge)from the getgo. He got deleted rather quickly.

I died like 15 times with my 1st two characters, then I finally was able to kill it on my 1st try with my Hunter. I cussed and pulled my hair a lot of times in the process. lol. :)

ah well being new i no no different, lol, i went for a knight as it seems quite middle of the road, would have gone for the temple but dont like using halberds.
i thought the phalanx was to easy for a end boss, just ran up to it, with turpentine on my scimitar (long sword broke) and hacked at it. it kept trying to back away, no attacks nothing, killed it real quick and only healed once, little fellas didnt bother me at all

I'm currently on my first play through, and using a wanderer. I liked the weapon and high dex, and it reminded me of a melee ranger. I finally buckled down yesterday and beat 1-1, now up to SL 12 from 6.

Phalanx didn't give me much trouble, even with no turpentine or firebombs..the rest of the level I can't say as much for.

I started as a Royal because I am a big king's field fan and I wanted my first toon to be a sort of homage character to the older series. For those who didn't know all King's Field characters start at level 1, normally know 1 light based spell (sometimes no spells though), and are always royalty of some form or another.

Started with a Wanderer because it fitted my lifestyle so to say...but, afterwards went with a Royal. Thinking about doing a Temple Knight build....

I went with the Knight because he was the guy on the cover, and he seemed like a pretty straight-forward melee fighter. I also liked the high starting strength, and the fact that he actually had armor, unlike the Barbarian. Still my favorite starting class.

Second class was a Thief. I just wanted something completely different, and Thief looked pretty cool. Also, starting with a dagger was kick ass, made the beginning incredibly easy. And having never even known about the <50% equipment burden, the mobility was really nice.

Third class was Royalty. I wanted to try out a Battlemage sort of build. Liked the character for a little while, but I eventually got bored of Soul Arrow/Soul Ray spamming and only using melee when I really needed to.

Fourth class was Temple Knight. Was trying a Blessed Mirdan hammer build. Eh, not so much fun. Despite all the praise it gets, Mirdan Hammer handles like ####. Two-handed R1 is the only thing it's got going for it.

Haha, I started with royal too becuase I heard it was easier. It worked cause I killed tutorial vanguard 1st try too. This was before I even knew how to fight him. I just ran away and shot a bunch of soul arrows at him lol.

Second I went though with a knight to get and use NR for a low lvl runthrough of NG+

Third I went with royal for a SL1 run through

Fourth I went with a priest since it seemed like it'd be harder at a base stats and it is since u cant use bows or magic. I gave up clearing that SL6 run through and turned it into a HoG build for a little bit.

then I went with a TK for a dex build, a TK for a faith build, a royal for a BBS, a royal for a pure mage, a TK for a str build, and a royal for mag melee, and a priest mag melee

Started with Temple Knight mainly because of initial weapon. Took me about an hour to figure out that 2-handed was so much easier. Tried all characters but didn't like them much. Not a sword wielder type of guy, I like the BIG guns. Levelled up a royal to about 25 then decided to go back to TK because the only magic I like to use is the warding spell. Not much of a caster type player.

I started out with a soldier. I was going to go for a knight but I assumed everyone started with a knight. Now my soldier is SL 93 on NG+. Many good times... Many, many bad.

I picked the Demon Hunter class for my first play through. It seems to be a really balanced Malee build with ability to get useful magic after a few levels. First play through was fairly easy, the axe is a pretty good weapon.

The second class I am playin as is a lady royal magician. I wanted to be a sexy red head:wink:...I like this class so far cuz you don't even need armor!:D

The third one I got is a Wanderer. I wanted a Samurai but since there isn't one this is the next best thing I guess:tongue:

I picked a thief as my first class because it reminded me of my lvl 70 undead rogue. Was fun ganking alliance farming in elemental plateau with some cs buddies and arena partners. After about the 2nd kill they would call all their buddies to try and camp us.

Thief - pretty much screwed up all the stats at SL 86 and started a royal.
