Infamous firestorm glitch - the video

There's already a thread on this. But one respondent found a youtube of this being done. Its buried at the end of 100 responses, so I thought some people might not be reading through all the stale posts and miss it. Its real folks. Perhaps maybe Atlus or From will now take it seriously? (CTOP).

I play 90% of the time as blue and any time we get invaded now I always cast AMF and I have 3 characters I use my melee build mainly just force this guy to beat you without magic. I bet you he won't I heard he's a really bad player.

The Black Phantom in the vid is terrible though. The only time I met him, he suicided off a cliff because he ran out of spices or something after 4 attempts that failed to kill me with this glitch.

I think I have a hunch on how this works.
I can see a catalyst(probably wooden or silver) and iron knuckles on that guy. I wonder if that matters.
I'll need to test this out. (offline, of course).

I never doubt lawson since the first place of his thread, he played a lot of sessions therefore almost impossible for him to misjudge. I just be aware of but never see that glitch myself. And now I see with my own eyes.

I really hope something gets done about this. It would be nice if they came out with one more patch and changed a couple of things.

I imagine nothing will get done about this as I have yet to encounter it (meaning it's not a rampant problem). The game is what it is. Someone figured out how to do it. The most you can hope for is an account ban. Only that individual will create a new one. It's a loosing battle. Until someone can demonstrate and explain how it is done, I doubt you'll get your wish. Maybe there is no version enforcement for online play. Maybe this only happens in the international version. Does anyone know?

I know it happens in the NA version, since its the only version I play (or have). It's only happened to me once. So I agree, this isn't wide spread. But it does happen often enough that someone caught it when they were recording. Which probably isn't a very wide spread thing. So far he seems to be keeping it quiet though. I hope he continues to do so. If anyone DOES figure it out, please, PLEASE don't post it here or tell anyone else how to do it. One person can keep a secret, two probably not, three and it will be all over before we know it. If its posted here, there will be hundreds doing this and the game will be over for everyone.

I confirm it happen in Asian version too. Just happened to me yesterday. His firestorm is not so strong, I am a host and take about 500 damage per hit.

As normally my pvp (and most japanese pvper) do not use healing grass during dueling (except this guy spam both healing grasses and spices), he manage to kill me eventually. I use DBS and he manage to evade most of my swing. Even though DBS's swing is normally easy to be read, but I would say that guy is not noob, just his build is actually not intended for mage build. If it is mage build, extreme deadly.

One thing I notice from this guy is first of all, he just use normal firestorm (hand touch the ground). After he run out magic point and chew spice. He start an infamous running firestorm. The similar way of what happened in the video. At that moment, I feel to myself like "IS IT REALLY HAPPEN TO ME!!!".

Of course, I don't forget to recognize his PSN in my player met.

Can't imagine the 3v1 camping or red soul sign jump, and all of them spam running firestorm.

lol i ran into this clown before and he totally sucked. i simply rolled away as he sprinted towards me and then dashed in with a killer uchi push combo while he was munching spice. on a side note - the blue in the vid decided to whip out a bow!? seriously!?

lol. I'm sure his VIT. stat left much to be desired. He went down in 3 swings if I remember correctly. Probably would have been 1 or 2 if I had a light BBS >_<

Pretty lol.. Many people abuse glitches, it's quite a shame, it doesn't rly affect the gameplay too much luckily.
