It's really not a challenge. But, it is fair and creates a competitive environment. Choose your character and never level up or upgrade any weapons. You can trade in souls for magic and miracles (if you have access to them).

You can use any weapon or armor found within the worlds. You want the dark silver shield? You have to beat the Valley of Defilement with your original stats and nothing more. I think that would level the playing field.

Some would have better magic and suffer from lower endurance and vitality.
Some would have greater vitality and endurance and suck at magic.

There are pros and cons to each build. Once you choose, you can't gripe about it.

** No duping weapons
** No begging for maxed weapons
** You can only use what can be bought or found (not upgraded).

didn't get the point of this, since every build have "pros" and "con" at SL like 120... not only at low levels...

at 120 you lack stamina, or mp, or dmg, or hp etc... depending on your build..

We've had this stuff already. Everybody can delevel to base stats as long as they don't touch their vitality. dragon +5 is easy to get and kills ppl in one hit.

No, it's not fair

At SL1 you can't wear any armor (or the ones you want to wear)
You can't wield many of the weapons, specially the heavy ones

It's unfair for those who like "heavy builds"

Not a bad idea, I agree

I think the real PVP is at low levels as well. Part of the problem is the dragon weapons become the best ones and they're generally very easy to get.

If most pvp'ers stopped at around lvl 40; pumping points only in Vitality and Endurance; there could be some really good melee fights.

That's the point. You get what you start with and what you can find. You don't get to upgrade shields and weapons. You can find a Dragon Long Sword, Crushing Battle Axe, Blessed Mace, Crescent Falchion, etc.

However, you could not raise stats to use Demonbrandt or other one or two hit weapons. That's why your choice would have to be one you can live with.

Why not? If you want to cap things at 120, why not cap it with what you start out as and the usable equipment you can find? Would this have anything to do with not being able to use Cat's Ring or not being able to use Second Chance?

You know that there exists a ring called "Ring of Flame resistance" as well as a shield called "Flame Shield?" Oh, let's not forget something called "water viel." On top of that, there's a sword called "Dragon Bone Smasher." Plus, a Brushwood shield and armor set.

It's only the "strongest" because people don't prepare/care for it.

Ah, this is a better explanation :)
Makes sense. starting to grasp your point better

Though, I'm personally against it since it prevents usage of most armor (specially the heavier ones).

It's cool though, it's like the opposite of SL120 cap

The Ring of Flame resistance and Water Viel is a good idea. Purple Flame Shield and Dragon Bone Smasher requires too much Strength which will make the player sacrifice Vitality and/or Endurance. Besides the DBS is too slow, skilled players will just dance around the wielder.

You can find it. You can use it. As long as you are willing to live with the penalties attached to it. LOL Remember, no raising stats.

Well, you don't NEED both the Flame Shield and the Dragon Bone Smasher. One would do...

And no, I believe there are a good amount of "heavy weapon" masters out there. Trust me, heavy weapons are easy to avoid if and only if the player sucks at using them (just like any weapon). Using weapons in this game is kinda like chess.

But yes, the ring, water viel, etc. easily works

but i think.. that at this lvl BBS build will start getting OP, and quality builds will be better than dex build.. you can have 80/80 at str and dex...

Yes 220 would absolutely benefit BBS over any other build... well a meat cleaver build would be good too. 120 is the undisputed champ when it comes to fair rewarding pvp IMO.
