..and all hell breaking loose, is it possible to injure your fellow warriors? I was slashing away in a brawl against Boletarian soldiers with 2 other helpers. I was too worried that if I targeted a soldier from one side and a teammate from the other, that we were slashing each other in addition to the soldier.
Pretty fun playing the multiplayer, btw. Kicks the game back up a notch after beating the single player once.
Oh, and at the end, there is a screen that pops up asking about allocating souls or whatever and a countdown of 20 seconds or so. WTF is that?

No, you can't hurt the blues or vice versa, so feel free to beast on the poor soul depraved soldiers all you want.
Once you defeat the boss, you're asked to grade/rate the blue(s) performance. This determines how many souls they receive for helping you. It also shows up on their soul sign info, so if they did a good job give them a S or A or whatever. Or if they were useless, grade them down accordingly so that other players have a heads up.

Thanks for the tips. I thought my slashes and soul rays were beaning the host...I'll be more aggressive next time.

Don't be aggressive, be smart. You can attack without fear of injuring your team mates. But, that doesn't mean just charge into everything. Assess, plan, and co-op. See what equipment others may have pulled out. They have a reason for doing so.

whoa...I'm finding that some BP's like to camp out right at the archstone where you get summoned. Not cool...

Solution: Place it farther down the level :)

I finally figured that out the hard way! Had a great time last night beating bosses co-op style. It's great because you get to take on the bosses over and over and get experience with their attacks.
