I don't summon

Who don't you summon? Are there situations or requirements?

Normally I summon anyone
The only persons I won't summon is:

-A black phantom that invaded my world (I may some other day, not the same day)

-Those who place their blue signs in front of the Boss' fog gate*

If you're coming to my world, you better be there from the beginning:mad:

Are there situations where you won't summon blue phantoms?

Well, I don´t even care who I summon, I think I might as well have summoned a squirrel sometime... Seriously. One way or another, I ALWAYS find a useful way of using blue phantoms, sometimes as actual help, and others like a fresh bait when their not that good.
And I LOVE those blue signs close to the bosses... Except in world 4, I hate it when they do that there :)

I was very thankful for those blues when i encountered Flamelurker in Ng+ for the first time, even if they would only serve as cannon fodder :p

I too summon anyone, even BPs who invaded me, especially when i won :D

I rarely summon. Too many blues just take off without thinking. They don't know if you've been invaded or what your play style is. They simply run off in to the wild. It gets annoying. I want a follower -- not someone to take over the game. If that were recognized by others, I'd probably summon more. That way I'd know the help I'm gettintg is from someone competent --- not someone who is going to lure the mob onto me.

An idiotic thing I see others do when I am helping a player through to the Penetrator. On the steps leading to the boss fog are three knights. Ever so often, someone, player or phantom, will engage all three at once getting everyone killed. They just charge into things.

well from the Blue Guy perspective i gotta add that i hate it when hosts dont use thiefs ring in 4-2. Actually im pissed of by a lot of hosts for several things :p

Ditto. It burns my you know what -- especially when making your way to the Old Hero.

I never summoned my first playthrough because I wanted to enjoy the game without having someone else to do it for me. So that I could see each new enemy and kill it. I like to taste my food before chowing down and swallowing, thanks - no need for baby spooning.

Blue phantoms take out the ability to follow the learning curve for the initial player.

After you've became experienced with the game and have graduated from learning curve class, many will summon because they're simply trying to complete the level quicker without having to resort thru all the "grinding" - ultimately for the purpose of making a PvP build, is my guess.

I won't summon when I have either of the dragons to kill. Any time else is a go though. It burns me that I don't see enough blue signs outside the Maneater and anywhere in world 5.

I summon almost everyone... including ones who sign at the boss door... cuz sometimes when a blue dies in your world you just dont wanna run back to the start... :/ the only times I wont summon is if the sign is in a secluded spot cuz that generally means they're prob trying to party with a friend so I don't wanna summon and have them white stone ...
