The BP must be Soulsucked, and than quit game via XMB menu (PS buttom -> Quit game)

the bp must be the one to quit if the host or ss'er quits it will most likely save as it sends you back, it happen to me i went from 340 to 293 but i was 340 only because of ss so i wasn't that mad just out of reach for more ss with the guy

we have tried quiting and pulling out the cord

me and a friend were doing it tell he quit on me and was out of my lvl range.

We would me in a world where the boss was alive and i used red eye stone to be summoned to his world. I would drop old spices to be duped and he would ss me tell i was below lvl 100 the souls drop to low at that point i would leave. It worked every time with 2 different friends

Thank you all for your help we were able to get it to work
we forgot that bp loose a sl when they quit and we were testing with only one ss
