ok so last night I was playing with my friend in 4-2 and we kept getting invaded we killed off a bunch of BP's but one finally got me, so I got pissed and invaded someone elses world... I couldn't find him so I started being a friendly BP and when he found me I bowed and walked away so he backstabs me (can't blame him) so we were on a narrow passage (where the 2nd reaper is) and I go to strike him down adn we both fall... I'm like CRAAAAAP, but he hits a ledge before I hit the ground so even though I died he got killed first .... it was great!

another time me and the same friend and Retsu, we were on 3-2 and retsu had a pretty hysterical death... the cage bringing us down to the marshlands swung close and somehow sent him off the edge... we couldn't go back to get his sign so in text chat he said he had an idea and in a few seconds "Black Phantom xRetsu has Invaded" cuz honestly noone plays 3-2 for fun :/ so yeah then he was just a friendly BP.... so I back stabbed him <_< it was great

I'm starting to see a trend with back stabbing and greatness... what are some of your great BP moments?

recently i was in 4-2 waiting for invaders when i got one the fight laster a few mins dodging and swinging taking breaks to heal but finally i hit him good with my n. regalia he starts running so i chase and backstab to end it. When it says he died i bowed and all of the sudden my guy does the motion like he was backstabed and i die alone.

Invaded 2-1, went in front of the host. I shot some arrows until he came in. I have a dark heater shield +2 and decided I would practice deflecting with it. Right as he attacked I deflected and came in for the crit stab :3 I was surprised.

I was invading 1-4, and there was this guy who was two-handing a Northern Regalia. He noticed me just as I got into his world so there was no time to cast second chance, so I ran up to him and casted ignite just as he slashed at me with his sword.

Long story short? We killed each other at the EXACT same time, and I got simultaneous win and lose messages. Funny.

I did get my body back, though.

Invaded 5-1 after the host I was helping as a Blue Phantom jumped down at the boss fight and killed himself. Yeah...he jumped from the ramp...

So invaded his world (unintentional) and killed him :D

I needed to revive somehow! didn't have any ephemeral eyes

I dont if it counts, but some time ago, I was clearing NG++ with Tower of Latria still uncleared of any major demon. I just started the world, put a red soul sign and ventured forth, in a few minutes, stupid me, I got into one of the cells and got killed by a swarm of prisoners in a moment. I was dying at the same moment as the message "Moving into another world as a black phantom" appeared. I was being summoned fot the Old Monk boss fight. But I died and appeared at the Old Monks fighting the Old Monk NPC BP in a soul form instead, surprised I lost again and resurrected in the Maneaters boss area right behind one of the Maneaters ass. I attacked him and in the same moment another Maneater appeared and, well, they killed me as well. I resurrected in 3-2 with no archstone there.
I dont normally suck that much in PvE, truly:)

this one isn't so funny for the bp as it was for me on my second playthrough after defeating the old monk i got banish and i wanted to go grind in 1-4 and partly to try banish out and sure enough not even past the dragon corpse i see the wall start to shimmer and i know what comes next so i go back to the entrance to wait the guy invades i wait till he gets close enough cast banish and boom he is gone. not 5 min later he sends a message calling me a p***y and a noob for doing that to which i reply go cry like a c**t somewhere else, he sends me another one crying to me about how i supposedly don't want to get owned calling me all kinds of names. at this point i am just laughing so i decide to have some fun and send him one that says basically your only crying because you weren't expecting it and you had to go back without a body and i would even dare to say that you were the one that got pwnd and i didn't even have to try...nub. now this is where it gets really funny my neofromthematrix/spidey sense kicks in and i think i can actually hear this guy screaming and breaking crap on the other end as he is reading it and now i am really laughing because it takes him about 15 min to come back with something and now he is PISSED cuz he sends me one with nothing but swearing so deciding that i dont want the guy to have a stroke i leave him with one last one telling him to go cry about it to someone who cares gave him the /yawn and /shooo and /goodbye.

about the same as warding and 50mp or so, i was more worried about distance from target when casting, it reminded me of a mushroom cloud how it starts from the center and then expands. not sure on the max range though.

the one or two times i've bothered to use it... it's very similar to wrath of god; in fact, i'd treat it about the same in terms of casting timing and mechanics.

Also, as near as I was able to tell, it cannot be used by a blue phantom.

Honestly, just play offline for world 4 or as a spirit if it bothers you that much.

This wasn't really a black phantom moment but anyway, summoned a blue phantom named Epic_Rock in 2-1. We move out and completely dodge the rocks being thrown, somehow we both get hit even though we clearly dodged the rocks. The blue phantom Epic_Rock has been slain by falling rocks ;_;..

There's a pattern to it, but sometimes when traveling with a blue phantom or a host one's timing can be thrown off...Specially when both try passing it together or a bit far apart

But yeah it's hilarious....killed by the rocks.....? sheeesh!
You're in NG+ so it could be way more dangerous now (probably one hit KO lol)

I noticed him taking the elevator up as I was taking it down, so I decided to jump down onto his elevator to surprise him. I ended up landing on top him, (which did 3 damage on him) slid down the side of his head and fell to my doom.

yeah pretty much thats exactly what he did, when we play co-op he (needlessly to say) tends to drop a lot.... can't count the amount of times he died due to arrows from the gargoyle things in 3-2 XD but when we reach a boss it's dead within 2 firestorms.... and that's on NG+

Heh, just got another awesome moment.

In 4-1, I was the black phantom invader. I saw this person near where human-form satsuki was, so I rushed towards her, casted a fireball, and then slashed her to death in all less that 10 seconds.

Hilarious.

Another anecdote fron 4-1:

It's shocking how squishy people who are supposed to be melee fighters are.
3v1s are exhilirating. I was invading a bunch of 3 people, and several of them died pretty much instantly when I fought them. I'd cast homing soul arrow, roll in to engage the host, and the homing soul arrow would shoot behind me and instagibb one of the blues. The hosts fall after one or two ignites.

I once invaded a guy in 4-1 camping with a Blue, both with shields. I whip out the Large Sword of Moonlight and let them surround me, then I start slashing, hitting them both at once per slash. The blue phantom died at my last stamina swing, with the host nearly dead too. :D The host starts to run away to heal so I just wait a second to replenish the stamina, then pursue and backstab. Take that, blue campers!

Another similar one happened yesterday in 4-1, though I don't think they were camping since they were up the first set of stairs where the skeletons were. The host hides behind a steel shield so once again, LSoM... the Blue didn't have a shield but was still hit by the wide swing, so he had to back away a bit to heal, leaving me to finish off the poor host.

Funnier still: yesterday I invade 1-4, and the host is right at the beginning, with all 3 NPC BPs still there. He was fighting the guy with the sword and seemed to struggle. I didn't attack him at all, I just watched to see where this was going, but I think he panicked at being surrounded by no less than FOUR black phantoms, so he got killed by the sword-wielding BP. LOL poor guy. :D

My favourite moment though so far is still the 2-1 invasion where I followed the host and his blue all the way to the elevator (which was still down) leading to the boss, then backstabbed the host and he fell down the elevator hole while the Blue just watched helplessly. :devil:

Too many to count but I had a very funny one recently. I invaded 4-2 taking a break from farming for pure bladestones. I was headed towards the first reaper as the host was still shooting at it with their bow. There was a blue to his left waiting for me so I just ran past the blue and backstabbed the host. did about 900 damage and almost killed them, then I finished the backstab and kicked them down off the ledge and they died from falling damage. Couldn't stop laughing and pretty sure they weren't happy as they pulled the plug, oh well.

I enter the level and find everything dead, I'm thinking, oh, crap , they're at the elevator already.

I run to the blue dragon area, just as I get there, the blue dragon dies, yada yada.

The host and his blue go up the elevator, and I camp at the bottom, knowing that I won't be able to do anything about it.

Then the host and the blue GO BACK DOWN to try to fight me. I had homing soul arrow on. I instakilled the blue.

The host probably ####ted his pants and rode the elevator back up.

I was laughing my ass off.

Hmm. Invading on my Illusionary Soldier. Invaded 1-4. Whipped out my Moon Kilij and whacked away at a guy while he tried to fight back with his Uchi's. It was a pretty even battle... until i was about to die (and we'd stop giving eachother chances to heal) he was abt to slash me for the final blow so i whipped out my insanity catalyst and used Ignite. Double KO. :D

While i just got up the stairs, it said "Black Phantom ----- Has Invaded!" and he appears right in fron of me, I slash away at him and he dies in about two hits. He had about a quarter of his health left when he invaded me. I was very happy about that (because the host of the co-op game i was in died when the old hero had about 1/8th of his health left).

Not sure if this goes here but I think it suits it. Most of us know how much of a pain world 3 is when you trying to be a blue phantom to help friends or others. A couple friends of mine and I decided to help each other on the last stage of that world. You never know who's going to get summoned by the monk. Sitting in the opening before the staircase I drop my tag. Guy can't see it, so there I go being summoned by the monk. Go kill the guy who's stage it was, die in nexus, then go back for my friend. 1 hour later, something awesome happens. I get summoned as my friends enemy....lol
He has a very poor build, (as it's his first time playing), so I go outside for a smoke while I'm waiting for him. Finally he makes it up the stairs, almost dies 3 times getting to me. I bow, remove all weapons, and let him kill me as I know that with my sword of searching, 2 hits he be dead. I was laughing the whole time he hitting me because at first he used demon brand and it did NO damage to me...lol Finally he switched weapons and got me. But it was a worthwhile death....HA HA

This isn't too funny, but I got really lucky.

Just now, I was at 3-1 and I left the game to watch my favorite show. After my show ended, I went back to play and saw this hunter owning me with his axe. I watched while I was hitting the PS button, and just as my controller turned on, I had a sliver of health left(he probably could have poked me and I would have died). I rolled away and used a new moon grass. I turned around, and with the Dragon Bone Smasher I had just gotten in 2-3 I two shot him.

Hehe, why didn't you just quit the game? But something similar happened to me not long ago. I was in the chat, typing a message with the PS3's horrid, clunky interface (I miss having the keyboard... when my boyfriend's computer was dead I borrowed his USB keyboard on the PS3 for a while haha), while idling in 4-1... yeah it was risky but I was hiding somewhere with the Graverobber's Ring haha. Then I see a reddish flash on my screen so I quickly exit the XMB and watch the BP passing me by, walking about 4 feet away from my character without seeing me haha.

Another time I was typing and the BP did see me, I heard my character grunt in pain so I quickly got back in the game. He had taken my SC off and almost killed me when I rolled away, cast Warding, and then killed him in a few hits. :D

funniest is me running into 2-2 invading.. see 1 host and 2 bp's on the right turn.. go oh crap.. run backwards the other way into the exploding crate which knocked me down..
10% health left..

they stood there for abit (probably laughing) then got chopped...

I got invaded by a random player while hosting a duel for some friends. Me and the invader trade few blows and spells (he/she was a mage) and then they decided to jump the blue I had summoned earlier. It wouldn't have been fair to double team them, so I backed off and watch as my friend destroyed their gear with scraping spear. After about five minutes of this he got them near the cliff in 4-1 and knocked them off using stormruler ^_^. I thought it was a bit excessive on my friends part, but it was still pretty funny to watch

Had two weird glitches in the same day. The first I invaded 1-4 looked around for the host, and about 2 seconds after I entered another black phantom invades. So I was looking forward to some fun, we waved at each other and went of towards the host and then... the host quit :mad: Not long after that I was invading 4-1, was having a hard time finding someone. Finally I invaded a game looked around couldn't find the host anywhere. Went forward into the level the first fog was still up and all the skeles were alive. I was about to message the host when he asks me where I am. I say "by the archstone where are you" he responds with "what?" I said "the archstone in 4-1..." Then he replies saying that he is in the nexus and was just in 4-1 and he got the message that he was invaded in the nexus so he though I was there. I guess I invaded at the exact time he touched the archstone to return.

hmmm i'll admot i totally diddn't deserve to win this one but i was in the area just after abaddon and invaded someone i accidentally ran past him into the hallway leading to the wraiths so at the mouth of the hall i started casting wrath of god. he had a dragon smasher and tried to get me with an overhead attack but it hit the top of the entrance. i finished wrath of god and blasted him off the edge lol. i was expecting some hate mail for that one but nothing...

also more fun with wrath of god if you become the old monk obss you can use wrath of god to hit players while theyre on the stairs or outside the entrance. killed a guy with 2 blue phantoms with a wrath of god there once.
before they even got into the room ^_^
