Yes, i know it may be too soon to suggest this, but a japanese retailer leaked a listing for a new Super Robot Taisen game. This is going to be a remake of the Super Famicom game of the same name, and as of right now, the platform is not known, but will possibly be revealed in next week's famitsu.

According to a neogaffer, it's a DS title.

If you look at the screen cap provided (http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=20117071&postcount=11), the store listing states 'NTR' in its product code, which means DS (in addition to the few 'DS' monikers speckled throughout and no, DS doesn't mean Dual Shock or Demon's Souls).

I would buy a remake of this so fast. I couldn't care less about OG Saga 2, as I felt the first one was awful, but I am ALWAYS up for some delicious robot SRPG goodness.

Yea Ill take both too. I wasnt keen on Saga at first but it won me over, besides the second looks so good. Dont get me wrong, I love the Cybuster and the Elemental Lords but one game should not be over looked because of another. Both have potential for total Super Robot awesomeness.

Who knows I ll have to see some more info on the game first before I decide. I love SRT but my back log of JP SRT games is long this includes the multiple play throughs :) but as far as a DS title sure I support it.

I'm just wrapping up SRT OG EF and now I find there's a second one?! Frankly the first one was so awesome I'd be drooling over getting a new one and not just because of the fan-service either! though I'd be lying if I said I didn't like it ;)

Just compared to other RPG's right now this one is so different it stands out. As for the source of this post I'd love to see Masaki's original adventure come to the DS or if it has already come state-side. Frankly I'd love to see ALL of the SRW games come over but I realize it's a copyright nightmare featuring all those different anime characters in one game. I might have to learn japanese or at least how to read it...

I support more Super Robot Taisen, for sure, but I'm going to stick to the plan I've always gone by...

And that is a true policy. Although there is a variation on it. I will often import something AT the 6 month mark. And sometimes before. If it truly had no chance from day 1, then regardless I'll import it.

If it gets localized than that's fine, it would save the trouble of waiting for fan transitions.

Exceed is a given since many still enjoyed the last one so there is no need to worry, even if translations for the menu’s and the like are being made. More games from an overlooked series in the US, the better as in my case. I only wish another overlooked series such as Growlanser would come here but what can you do.

For those who didn't know, this game is where you'll find out about many things on LaGas, such as the origin of Shuu Shirakawa and the Granzon. And those who had a chance to play the fan translation of SRW Alpha Gaiden, know all about girls like Mio, Precia, Xenia among others.

Also, this is all hearsay but what supposedly killed SRW OG and OG Gaiden's localization was the voice work - Sony wouldn't allow developers to release jap-only localizations. The SRW OG games had an enormous amount of speech and doing the english voices competently would have been a pretty big investment, especially for a "dying" system like the PS2 (Persona 4 outsold Tales of Vesperia pretty handily according to VGchartz, but maybe a more fair comparison would be Mass Effect which sold about 6x more units in North America.) in SRTOGSMK:TLoE only MAP attacks are voiced, so it's a non issue even if Nintendo has the same localization policy

It's most likely the case that they know NPD is pay only and the one guy they have that remotely follows gaming won't be paying for that privilege. And chances are, the first thing this guy does for some quick numbers, a google search for 'video game sales' and vgchartz will almost always pop up. Just because it's the quickest option, doesn't mean it's the most preferable.

Sorry, he's right: VGChartz's numbers are a joke and I'd prefer people didn't use the term "jap" for any reason. JPN or JP or Japanese are acceptable; "jap" is a loaded term with a lot of baggage due to the way it's been used historically and I'd rather people just avoid the issue altogether by using a different term.

I've signed up to these forums for the sole purpose of making this one post: Atlus, please consider the benefits to releasing both this game and Endless Frontier EXCEED. A significant portion of the established Super Robot Taisen fanbase chose not to play Endless Frontier, but the game still sold relatively well by establishing an entirely new fanbase. EXCEED will reinvigorate that fanbase as well as adding to it, and this game will bring back all of the existing main-series Super Robot Taisen fans, even many that may have passed up OG1 and OG2. Furthermore, the title of this game alone (OG Saga) will lure in many of the newly-established fans of Endless Frontier, adding to the amount of dedicated fans of the main series. This may be exactly what's needed to make the series financially viable again. I can guarantee, at the very least, that releasing both games will result in higher sales for each than either one would have gotten alone.

I promise that I, and hopefully everyone else here and elsewhere, will do everything within my power to spread the word about this game if you do pick it up. (I'm already doing my part for Endless Frontier.) I will also personally deliver a kick to the nuts of anyone who intends to pirate this game or any other.

(Also, people, please don't request Original Generations in this topic, as I'm told that's exactly the kind of stuff that got the EF EXCEED topic closed.)
