So I'm NOT spamming the forum trying to find the right spot. Where would I put a question or a glitch concern without it sounding like a spoiler, in which we are not supposed to do here, (even tho I see tons of threads in this section with spoilers in it).

honestly i wouldnt worry about it. post wherever if its in the wrong section it will most likely be moved. do try to put it in the right location though, your not going to be executed if you dont.

I was directed to this section. Because of the colour sheme they use, I didn't know there was a Demon Soul's section. Had to highlight the page just to find it. Dark writing on dark blue bars don't mix....lol Anyways, here's the issue I have.

Twice I've started a new game, and while visiting the merchant in 1-1 in one game, and deafting Tower knight in the other game, Ostrava has been killed somehow. When I do 1-1 I kill all enemies before getting to his section. I kill the enemies and free him in 1-2 and for some reason he has been getting killed. Has anyone else had this problem? Also, in 2-1 Ed and the merchant are being snuffed out. I don't kill NPC's unless it's yurt Gonna try a 3rd time without being online and see if ostrava gets snuffed out. Don't care that he does, just don't get the key

Did you kill the blue eye knight along his walk path? That's probably the only thing that gives him trouble in 1-1

why not do what i do? when you first encounter him, backstab him down into the pit with the dreglings, then run out of that area, aggro the 2 soldiers that are in the next area, and pull them back in and get them attack him as well. by the time you kill everything, he'll either be dead or nearly dead and you can finish him off and take the key.

the last line of the OP's second post says "don't care that he dies, i just don't get the key" which tells me he is trying to get the key when ostrava dies, but can't because he doesn't know where ostrava died.

I do want the key but didn't realize until the second time it happened it was Ostrava that got killed. I like killing him in the nexus.
And in response to RSY, there are NO enemies in that level except the bos when I go in to rescue him the first time, and when he is in 1-2, I kill the enemies heading towards the merchant first, then back-track to get the cross-bow guys.
Doesn't explain how I lost Ed and the merchant tho....lol
I can remember once the game said I was in multi-player mode and I hadn't summoned anyone or seen a sign saying a phantom was invading.

Then how come I can stay locked on the level 5 or 10 minutes and still get no one but my NPC's have been knocked off in the process. Doesn't take 5 minutes to invade someone, or people would get tired of the waiting and stop invading. Nothing happens if I'm playing offline, but my problem is I can't build a good character and still need help. Pain in the butt logging on only when at a stage I need someone.

i've actually had the "can't leave map while in multiplayer" sit there for a good 10min before on map 4-1 when i was camping invaders. it is rare that it lasts that long but it does happen. easiest way out is just archstone shard since that ignores multiplayer.
