Okay, so reading up on Kotaku the other day, a VERY interesting article caught my eye...
http://kotaku.com/363739/scea-confirms-playstation-store-revamp-hints-at-imports

This suggestion alone opens so many doors to both Atlus USA and the fans...the real question is...will you guys at Atlus brave it? :?

If some of you don't know, Innocent Sin is "the other half" of Persona 2 that was never localized here in the US due to various reasons here and there...but many of them dealing with the game's content. But these days, a Hitler here and there doesn't do much harm to the already extremely violent videogame market. Atlus itself has more or less gotten used to leaving games uncensored for some time now...so that really shouldn't be a problem.

Also...this is something of a good chance for Atlus to get into the DL market. Its a growing business, and it looks very, very bright, so some of you guys should definitely put some thought into this one.

There's also the fact that fans have been here stateside have been wanting this game forever and been relying on a WIP English patch for a while now...which *still* isn't done...so yeah.

Now, it doesn't just have to be limited to this game. If you guys here decide to go with it...Innocent Sin is most likely a very, very good way to get into it with a bang.

Anyways...just be sure to think about it, and try to think of what's best for business, and for the fans.

I don't think ATLUS has any say on what appears in the Playstation store.

They do. Independent publishers make a "pick list" so to speak, and its ultimately filtered through Sony to ponder on what will make the most profit. Innocent Sin as a starter is practically a no brainer...

No they don't. Atlus has no place in the Virtual Game market. It wouldn't get them money.

That isn't true at all.

I'm sure Atlus releasing some of their older games like Guilty Gear on the PSN store could very well make them money.

However, a P2:IS release is extremely unlikely. I doubt there's enough demand, and it would cost too much to translate.

Oh, I'm thinking of Nintendo. But don't they operate in the same vein, though?

I actually have no idea, but I'm assuming not. I'm sure Atlus gets some of the profit. They are entitled to it.

I think Sony is more likely to put more Crash Bandacoot in the store, than IS.

They *did* put Crash Bandicoot in the store man...

There's just like one game left...and the rest are ####ty spinoffs who no one cares about.

In any case...>.> Atlus *does* have say in it, but the final word is always Sony's. Besides, with them looking at Japan-only titles now, what's there to doubt?

Had you bothered to look in the places you were supposed to, you would find answers to your questions.

From here (http://www.atlus.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2512):

Due to a sudden influx of new members signing up for the forums, I would like to restate the following:

New users must make FIVE (5) posts before they gain the ability to create new threads.

That is all.

And from here (http://www.atlus.com/forum/showthread.php?t=8):

Also, localizing old Atlus games for release on VC wouldn't make us any money, so there's almost no chance of it happening.

If it applies to the Virtual Console, it stands to reason that it would apply to the Playstation Store, XBox Live Arcade, and, almost certainly, actual physical releases.
