I have no idea how much the third one (which is the first game in the series to have been localised) sold, but ATLUS really needs to deliver more ass kicking with the latest Kenka Banchou 4: Ichinen Sensou (The One Year War) for the PSP.

Konan High is an elite school for the banchous, and to climb to the top of the hierarchy, you have to beat the king, Akutsu Eichi. As a first year who stepped into the school the first time, you have a lot of foes to beat.

From the school yard to the rooftops to the sports grounds to the toilets, you have to fight through the whole school and leave your mark on all the furniture. This is a school where you have to frequently remind the guys that your punches are rock solid.

Customize your appearance in the parlor, change your skin color, get tattoos and even a girl. There is a romance subplot in this game where you may date one of the three heroines.

Connect with another bancho through the adhoc networking mode and show him who has the better kick.

Kenka Bancho is my favorite psp game, so naturally I support this. :D

Totally agree, love the game, and this already has a thread: http://www.atlus.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5483

I'm not sure if it's still possible to make new PS2 titles in America, and I honestly can't determine whether Kenka Bancho 2 will ever make it to PSP, due to the fact that Motorcycles may be a bit much. I used the search feature and skimmed, failing to find a thread on this.

As I see it, Kenka Bancho revived Beat-Em-Up's, from back when I first played double dragon and river city ransom, to Brawl Brothers on the SNES, I always loved Beat-em-ups. But ever since then the lack of beat-em-ups is very apparent, aside from the Warriors(Which some consider a beat-em-up, I consider it GTA without cars and guns however), no good Beat-em-up's are to be seen.

Playing through Kenka Bancho 1, I have not progressed much further in the story past the first Bancho fight, due to the language barrier caused by my limited knowledge of spoken japanese, unless I use the FAQ on gamefaqs I always get stuck with the fat ugly girl. However, I have reached the maximum level, and Do a Cossack dance in a badass white uniform to regain Kiai. To beat 'smashtalk' battles I have to use a pen and paper, and attempt to copy down certain parts of the phrase, sometimes I win, most of the time I lose, however after about an hour of cracking skulls everybody knows who I am, and how badly their faces will be broken if they fight me.

Point is, that kinda devotion to a game I can barely understand, though probably unhealthy, is fueled by another unhealthy devotion to beat-em-up's. We need some good Japanese beat-em-up's, or the genre will die and obsessive freaks like myself will militarize and blame YOU, that's right YOU.

Do the right thing Atlus, I know where you live.

You know I'm pretty sure there already is a Kenka Bancho thread, you could have posted there instead of making a new one.

Well I did see the Kenka Bancho 4 thread, but I didn't think my post would fit in there, since it was talking about the original games, and the PSP remake of Kenka Bancho 1.

In the remake of the original as stated in other posts that can be found using the search tool and my screen-name, there will definately have to be some edits to grafitti since I ran into the F-Bomb written in roman letters on a wall. Who Knows, maybe Spike took this out. I do support the release of 1 Year War, But I am more interested in playing the first 2 games, especially the second, because motorcycles and Bosozoku KICK ASS! Sexual Harassment KICKS ASS(Menchi-Beam to ass FTW)! and Kicking Ass KICKS ASS!

That put aside, I would definately pre-order Kenka Bancho 4, I'm just more interested in figuring out how to find Bancho's in KB 1 and 2, the only KB FAQ around for the original games only tells you how to get in a Sukebans pants, that's fine, but I like Shy Girls...

1) Closing this thread for redundancy.

2) Petitions don't work.
