View Full Version : Omg, there seems to be actual set bonuses as well, a few questions to ATLUS?

Well I'm here hunting for melding pots(to recupe my massive loss from losing my +10 equipment), and I find a Bronzward(it just so happens that a monster just destroyed one of my weapons), so I equip it. Then up pops a message saying your equipment starts ressonating, however there is no info change on what the bonus is.
Is this a system that was canceled, but someone just forgot to remove the sound effect/message?
Is it just a hidden bonus, and if so is there anyway to find out what the bonus is/does?

There are few sets like this and most of them are simply a matter of having a matching sword and shield. Look at your stats, note any changes to stuff like Strength, the Weapon value, anything?

So I'm guessing the Demon Sword/Shield combo does something every time you defeat 100 enemies with it? I'm trying it, but there are enough enemies that knock weapons/shields away that I'm not sure if I can make it to 100. Can anyone confirm that whatever happens is streak based, and the counter resets if the weapon is forcibly unequipped?
don't touch me there

One of the Japanese sites I was trying to translate made it sound like it is streak based, but not necessarily to 100, just a better chance with each kill added to the counter...but that if you take either one off (or it's removed in any way to break the resonance) the counter is reset.
For many combos of equipment, the resonance is just a +1 or +5 to both pieces, but there were some unusual combos that I couldn't decipher very well between a couple shields and armbands (at least it looked that way) as well as some of the sword/shield combos and a sword/sword combo. You can obviously see the +X effect if you just equip it in a dungeon and look at your stats...it should be that many points more than the amount you see at the inventory screen. For the other ones I guess you simply need to have whatever happens happen...like with the Demon combo getting points added. So if you're not attentive maybe you never know what the resonance effect is doing.
Well on another site through google translate, it looks like:
the dragon slaying sword and the dragonward shield when matched reduce fire damage by even greater %
"pickaxe of satori" and "satori shield" which I do not know what they are in English seem to give a 15hp increase?
"scimitar" and "nabari Shield mine" further reduce explosive damage...I would guess nabari shield mine is the Blastward shield, but maybe not. I have no idea what scimitar is.
and on another site, I think it was saying the Convert Armband and Prism shield cancel Prism effect (so goes back to suffering effects or cancels the damage? I don't know)
