to be honest i would love to see more persona type games for both the ps2 and ps3. I know the ps2 platform may seem old hat. but after playing persona 4 it still left me wanting to play more persona oriented type games. either be it a new hero or continuing on with the hero from persona 4. or even maybe a new persona dealing with aigis from persona 3 and maybe a new set of persona users. at any rate it would be nice to see more in the persona series of games. possibly new personas or social links. i don't know i'm sure anything that atlus could come up with in the way of a new persona story line would be awesome!

Reason: the me more should of been see more

What?

Atlus USA doesn't make games, they just localize and/or publish them. The suggestion thread is for suggesting existing games to bring to America, not suggesting game ideas.

But don't get me wrong, I'm always down for more SMT.

i wasn't aware of that it just said game suggestions. at any rate my suggestion still stands. even if they only publish games i'm sure if they are a game making company as i think they are they wouldn't be against going off and making a SMT game. seeing as how they have been behind most if not all of the smt releases it would make sense for them to have bought the copyright for the name. anyway forgive the post if it's not in the correct place.

Allow me to 'splain.

ATLUS Japan (henceforth called ATLUS) develops games, including the Shin Megami Tensei series.

ATLUS USA obtains the North American publishing rights for various Japanese games, including those developed by ATLUS. ATLUS USA then localizes the games which primarily involves translating the game to English. ATLUS USA also does a bunch of publisher kinda stuff which can include getting the game approved by Nintendo, MS, or SONY, rated by the ESRB, manufactured, and shipped to stores and/or distributors.

The point of all this is that ATLUS USA, to the best of my knowledge, has never developed a game. They only localize and/or publish games developed by others. If you want more Shin Megami Tensei games, you would need to speak to ATLUS, not ATLUS USA. However, I'm fairly certain that they're always working on new Shin Megami Tensei games.

oh man I love these threads. like that "old man" who wants to see Growlanser happen before he dies (http://www.atlus.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5559).
