Looks like P.N.03 meets Lost Planet to me. I doubt Mikami will disappoint regardless though. :D

I enjoyed that trailer, definitely looking forward to seeing more. Hopefully they won't take too long to show us some gameplay.

Armor design looks sexy (definitely reminiscent of PN03, with some Stormtrooper mixed in for good measure).... but that's about all I can say at this point from watching that trailer.

Perhaps if a certain game with a generic space marine and alien invasions hadn't sold so ridiculously, fanatically well. Alas, it did.

I'm hoping that it isn't aliens invading, and it's people fighting people. It's not terribly clear from the trailer.

Vanquish looks to be a promising title. I still think it's cribbing off Crysis, but that's not a bad thing.

I don't like Gears of War myself, but the gameplay in Vanquish seemed very fast paced, and it had some kind of bullet time which is always welcome.

DEMO IS OUT

Game is awesome. October is too far away.

On the second form of the boss, make sure you attack the boss's left arm (the one on your right), and input the QTE properly. Expect it, it will be a rotation of the analog stick, and what you need to pay attention to is the DIRECTION of the analog stick.

Man. Can't ####ing wait.

Platinum Games, I am disappoint that Sam still runs at the same speed no matter how slightly you tilt the analog stick. Also, you can't move while reloading behind cover. Hopefully at least my first gripe is fixed when the game is released.

Otherwise, great demo. Day 1 for sure.

Well, I died a lot in the demo, but I did finally beat it. I don't think I will liek it as much as Bayonetta, but I'll still buy it. The game looks great, and it is basically GoW on a Japanese controlled substance.

The demo was short but fairly awesome. And yeah, the gameplay reminded me a lot of GoW. The differences are, GoW is painfully slow and looks extremely dull and I hate listening to PISS #### #### PISS all the time, Vanquish fixes most of this by being very fast-paced and got tons of nice flashy effects which adds tons of charm, even to what is essentially space marine TPS.

I played the demo, but I still find Bayonetta to be more impressive.
I don't mind Platinum Games love affair with QTEs, but I'll still probably get it and some replacement controllers.

I'm tempted to pay an extra $10 to import the Steelbook version of the game... but I'm not sure if the 360 version will be region free. I think Bayonetta was so the odds are kind of good, but I don't want to risk wasting $70. I suppose I could just get the PS3 version to be on the safe side, but I'd rather play it on the 360. Also there's the fact that I would have to wait probably a week or so longer to play the game.

Well I ended up just going to K-Mart (waaaaaay out of the way) and picking it up along with Enslaved for $96 with a $20 coupon that I can't use until next week... look forward to playing it later today. I hear it's short but sweet.

Apparently it's a very short game. I haven't heard of much replayability and unlockables for Vanquished as Bayonetta had many and I still play that game to this day.
I don't really like paying 60 bucks for a 5 hour game, don't get me wrong I REALLY liked the demo but it's not a top priority right now.
