It'll be interesting to see what this turns out being, if it turns out to be anything at all. This wouldn't be the first time Amazon has broken news too early, so I wouldn't be surprised if we're finally getting our PS3 SMT that was mentioned way on back.

Could be P5. Could be SMTIV (so close to Strange Journey?). Could be a completely new subseries, since there's generally one per platform.

On an unrelated note, I've recently considered how awesome it'd be to have the next Raidou game on the Wii, complete with manual aiming and maybe slashing.

I don't know how your income is, but I think there are enough reasons (ie: games) to own a PS3 at this point. 3D Dot Heroes, Demon's Souls, and Disgaea 3 are enough of a reason at this point, to me anyway. Also, the Uncharted series is simply outstanding.

Eh, SMT PS3 was listed as being in development for the ps3 before the ps3 even launched. I am guessing this is an old entry that someone rediscovered or is a mistake.

One thing's for sure: this is not P5. The Persona games don't have the SMT name in their titles in Japan, nor do the Devil Summoner games or spin-offs like DDS.

eh smt games are the only ones i enjoy so ive never considered to buy one and im only 16 with no job my parents dont want to buy me video games because they dont want me to be a loser and I dont want to be one either. If enough games come out for it then Ill probably buy one when i get a job in the summer.

granted I do appreciate the time and effort for proper grammar, spelling, punctuation, I've also abandoned the need to see it on this and many other boards. Especially from the youth (I just thank my stars they are not posting like they txt with the tweaked condensed speech).

I do see eldorado's pain somewhat, even with a nice pile of games, Atlus and otherwise, it's a hell of an investment to make on a system that is around $300 for the core and more if you want additional controllers, chargers, and oh yeah.. games!

I don't see the pain of eldorado's parents refusing to buy him games because it'll make him a loser.. or his own admission he doesn't want to BE a loser because of games... That sounds like his parents have beat him into submission; forcing him to actually start to believe that by investing time in video games you are suddenly less of a person then someone who doesn't. I don't even want to get into loser vs cool.

I would expect if there is an SMT on ps3 it won't be persona because of the love, attention, and time it takes to jump platforms and re-do all the visuals. almost wonder if it'll be something new? :) It would be great to see Nocturne get a sequal too but like Persona, it would likely get a lot more dev attention so that's down the road a ways.

either way since I lack a ps3 I'm indifferent. if it's anything decent my buddy will likely get it and then I will have a chance to check it out. I am a xbox 360 owner, and i KNOW better then to worry about Atlus dev on that system lol.

I'm a Atlus fan looking foward to the annouced PS3 SMT, I feel like it has to be a continuation of "Nocturne". There were to many things left unfinshed. The main character was never able to transform into a completely demonic state. Atlus can't deny that, and I know that they feel that it's more to be told in the world of "Nocturne" especially considering the "real ending" to the game!
