All four Mega Man Zero games collected into a DS game. I'm only posting this as a 'just in case' because it's only been announced for Japan and Capcom has been weird about localizing their collections for different regions (I'm pretty sure Europe never got the original Megaman Collection).

Even if Capcom doesn't bring it over, there's zero chance they'd let any other company touch a character like Mega Man.

Didn't Capcom bring over the majority of Mega Man games in the past 5-6 years? I'm pretty sure they will localize this one.

Well... I'd certainly get it. The Zero series is really good and quite nontraditional for a Megaman game: it has a story and a linear path. Oh, and it's tough (okay, that's traditional). :D
Unfortunately, it's a little hard to find copies, so I do hope Capcom brings this over because, yeah, nobody else will be able to. Not Megaman.

They brought over the Megaman Battle Network 5 Double Team combo pack for the DS, so they'll most likely bring over this Zero Collection. Since all the translations are already done, it won't cost much to localize.

They should include anime intros as well. If they could squeeze hours worth of FMV in the Prof. Layton games, at least a few animated cutscenes for MMZCollection won't hurt.

Usually I see good suggestion on this board... but not this one, I mean, Capcom haven't said anything about not bringing the game overseas, so I think that unless they say that they won't localize the game, hold on this suggestion

Something tells me that if Capcom didn't want one of their games to be localized, they wouldn't let someone like us do it either.

While it's not nonlinear like the 8bit Megamen, it falls along the same catergory as late 16bit and later MM/X game series where half the levels are unlocked in the beginning and the latter half open up after a short mid-level. However, the Zero series being more focused on story is true and also an unfortunate occurance; you can't skip the cutscenes in 1 and 2 and if you're a perfectionist, you'll be mashing A to skip that text more than pressing A to jump.

It wouldn't hurt except this looks like a basic copy and paste port of a series of games that only did decently but nothing amazing. Capcom probably farmed out this collection (like all the other MM collections) and will probably give it a small print run in order to cut down costs while using it to further hype up MM10.
ie This is merely an official Capcom acknowledgement that the Zero series still exist in some form even though it wasn't a runaway success like MM9.

Agreed there. I mean, when's the last time a publisher loaned out their flagship mascot out to a third party publisher to localise? Namco refuses to let anyone touch any Tales game, Konami didn't license out Goemon to WD, and Nintendo sat on Mother series just to piss off the small but loud fanbase.
Though if Capcom does bring this over (chances are good they will actually), it'll probably be an Atlus-like move where they throw out a small single print-run and try to make a small profit and that'll be the end of it.
In short: This thread is a waste of bandwidth.

This.
Anyways, Megaman Zero is definitely an epic series, perhaps more so than X in my book. You may say it's not true, but you can't deny that the setting in Zero is much darker than X ever pulled off.
Spoiler:
Even though the ending of Zero is epic and all, track Esperanto/Area Zero/Freesia, Sacrificing himself with an epic line, saving the last piece of nature and hope and reuniting the reploids and humans eliminating the prejudice they have between each other, etc. I still wished a non-canon good ending to satisfy my fan desire. They had to make CielxZero canon too.
Anything after Zero is pretty much bull####. No epic story, naive children protagonists, easy gameplay, and it's nowhere as dark as X or Zero. As far as it goes on I'm never considering them canon. Looking at Zero4's released date it's safe to say they ended Zero early just to start on this piece of crap.

Capcom is bringing this over around the same time as Mega Man 10. Go ahead and lock.
