Wikipedia article about the game (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tail_Concerto)

I don't know if Atlus still has the rights to distributing Tail Concerto, but seeing that Atlus has been releasing PSP games on PSN, I thought it would be cool if they put PS1 classics such as this game up too! Plus, this game would be great on the go, since PS1 classics can be played on the PSP too.

I admit, I never got the chance to purchase this game. I've only played the demo when I was a kid, and I played it over and over again. From what I remember, it seemed to have a lot of heart. I would buy this game Day 1 if it were released on PSN!

If I recall correctly, this game was a bit like Steambot Chronicles, right? Anyway, I wouldn't just stop at requesting this game. Atlus should put both Persona games as well and maybe the first Guilty Gear. Assuming they have the right to do so, there's really no reason why they shouldn't.

Dear Saburo Hikari,

You have read my mind. This is the exact suggestion that I wanted to make. I can't stop thinking about this game and how awesome it would be to have it on my PSP:) It's nice to know that there are others out there who feel the same. It would be amazing if ATLUS USA decided to release their PS1 games on the PSN service.

If there is any way that atlus can get their PS1 library on the PSN, i'd pick up Tail Concerto for sure, and Kartia and Brigandine if at all possible.

Some I'd rather see some actual remakes for rather than a straight reissue on to PSN. Some games age well, some don't and some just weren't localized that well back then.

Plus after Persona PSP, I couldn't go back to Revelations: Persona - Persona PSP is just a better package. Also, I kinda want to see people keep the pressure on for a full remake of Persona 2 IS and EP. If they just put out the PSOne Persona 2, gamers being as weak-willed as gamers tend to be, they would just settle for that.

I do want to see more Atlus titles put up on PSN, just not all of them at once. Its also a matter of getting SCEA off their butts to actually put something up on PSN. They still need to have these silly little release windows where nothing competes with each other for a length of time, even if the game is a decade old.

Fully agree with this request. I only recently picked up my 3rd copy of this game (have the Japanese original and North American original) as I needed a sealed copy of the North American release.

I love this game, and I would love to have it available on the go (not the PSP go, just...mobile).

I can agree I'd definitely be interested, I've heard this is a great game from several friends. Believe it or not, I was asked, "So when did you first play Tail Concerto?" and when I said I hadn't, they were shocked! ^^;

So... definitely would like to have a way to get ahold of this, and PSN does seem like a great way to do so.

And as far as a full-blown remake, that wouldn't really be the kind of thing to ask Atlus for... if I'm not mistaken, Tail Concerto is one of the non-Atlus games that Atlus chose to localize and publish in the US... so it would also depend on if they still hold the license to do anything with this title.

I totally agree. This game is sweet. I bought it on eBay a few months ago, and I didn't even think of Atlus putting it on PSN. It's pretty expensive on eBay, so that should show that there's at least a decent amount of demand for it. I just wonder if Atlus still has the rights.

Since Namco Bandai owns the rights for Tail Concerto, it would be challenging to see this in A-spec PSN.

Heck, anything NOT named Dragonball or Naruto will get less priorities... in America! Just ask legions of frustrated Tales, SRW, Summon Night, and Gundam fans.

If I remember correctly, the choice would lie solely with Atlus JP, so your asking probably will be fruitless.

I do believe it'd be a great addition to PSN, though, because it was a great game. Rare, but great.

Edit: I didn't know that Bandai-Namco held the rights to it, I guess it really is a pipedream.

1. Well, Atlus JP, iIrc, negotiates on behalf of Atlus USA, so that the latter can localize games we request here.

2. Yes, I believe this is one of the titles from the PS1 era that has aged well.

3. Before the Namco-Bandai merger, then-Bandai already owns BOTH this IP & Banpresto.

I thought I'd throw this question in this thread since it's a similar situation. I'm a little confused as to who's responsible for adding games to the PSN.

Bomberman Fantasy Race was just added a few weeks ago, that game was published in the US by Atlus. So does that mean Atlus had to submit the game to the PSN? or would Hudson have to do it?

Wow...that's a really good question. Any admin have the answer?

I'm under the impression that Atlus buys the PSN distribution rights from Hudson.

I really wish that this would happen, as I'd love to play Tail Concerto.
