So anyways I'm just gonna quote the back of the book and let you figure out why I posted this..
"Strange things happen in the town of Bixby. Time freezes. Nobody moves. For one secret hour each night, the town belongs to the dark creatures that haunt the shadows. Only a small group of teenagers know about the secret hour-only they are free to move about the midnight time. They call themselves Midnighters."

hmmmmmm I feel like I've seen this somewhere before...
P.S sorry for the long post

Nah I haven't read it yet just picked it up today but apparently it's the first one in a series. I'll check if P3 of this came first.

Provided this is it: http://www.amazon.com/Midnighters-1-Secret-Scott-Westerfeld/dp/0060519533/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1260777180&sr=8-1

Which it seems to be, but not sure as I don't have the book, The midnighters came first, but only by a year, so the premise was most likely written at around the same time for both the midnighters and Persona 3.

The amount of time it may or may not take to publish a book would probably correspond with that too.

But it may have taken a long time to make Persona 3 and the premise could have come first for P3 than the book.

Looks like an interesting book though.
