Not being a PSP owner, I never paid much attention to the Kenka Bancho game, but the "One Year War" bit has me automatically sit up and take notice. I mean, with a title like that, it has to be full of Gundam references/parodies/homages, right? [/geek] :)

Needless to say, I'll be getting the Japanese version (thank you PSP for being region free). Finally a series I love that wasn't destroyed by the developers be dissolved or screwed over by Konami.

I would totally support a US release though, there is a market for these games.

Just beat Badass Rumble and that game is so freakin raw!! Its one of my favorite psp games now.

Hopefully Atlus will localize One Year War cuz im really lovin this franchise!!

Not being a PSP owner, I never paid much attention to the Kenka Bancho game, but the "One Year War" bit has me automatically sit up and take notice. I mean, with a title like that, it has to be full of Gundam references/parodies/homages, right? [/geek] :)

It probably does have Gundam references. I know in Kenka Bancho 3 they have these spandex and these antennas which look similar to the RX-78, and at the bottom of the feet, it has that red ring thing like on the Gundams feet. Kenka Bancho 3 also has a weapon called the "brightsaber" but its more like Gundams beam sword, its the same color and the hilt looks just like it.

Also, I too, would like to see Kenka Bancho 4 come to US. I've found a fascination with Kenka Bancho Badass Rumble, you could even say I'm addicted.

I'm yet to buy the first game for psp cause i don't own one yet hahaha, But i'm really interested on it, I would buy this game if Atlus localized it too and regarding that i think Atlus has come upon a great franchise so i think it would be a shame if they didn't kept localizing Kenka Bancho games :)

dont know about this one it did ok in japan,badass rumble did not do that good from what i heard so chances are if you dont hear anything by feb/2011 its not going to happen.

Support in getting this, game probably more worth it compared to badass rumble guessing its longer since its called the one year war instead of one week you have one year to be a badass

Why not Kenka Bancho 5 instead of this one? Spike says that Kenka Bancho 5 will be the final chapter in the Kenka Bancho series for PSP and will be packed with content, including the largest fields and greatest number of primary characters, customization parts and mini games. Dont know if this one is going to be a year or a week though.

For the spectators, in case it wasn't obvious*, no, I'm not saying the game's being localized. I'm pointing out the ridiculousness of the idea that a company would make or break month-long contracts involving large sums of money purely on the whim of a single customer.

Kenka Banchou 5 came out recently, and it's closely related to Kenka Banchou 4. KB5 could stand on its own, but it's the closest thing the series has had to a direct sequel. Should they ever localize one or the other, I'd recommend they do KB4 first, even though KB5 'seems' like a bigger game.

None whatsoever, I think the only time a company will only outright deny the possibility of ever working on something is if there is a licensing issue that will never change.

i was just gunna create a new thread, but i found this one. Totally want Kenka Bancho 4 and 5 localized! also i'd gladly hand over monies if you put 1 and 2 on the PSN or released the discs. basically i need more Kenka Bancho in my life...everyone does.
