It looks like a really cool game.
I would love to see atlus publish this DS game in the US.
It kinda looks like a minimized version of Persona 3.

I don't know, the characters seem pretty standard. Nothing new on that front. I haven't seen much of the gameplay though. And it's pretty old, so it doesn't seem likely to be localized any more.

I was going to make a topic about this my-self but I figured this might not have much chance if acquiring the license is a problem.

This was directed by Takaharu Terada (Sakura Taisen, Valkyria Chronicles), if it's possible I'd love to see it get localized.

I think I can buy this game in the bargain bin at Tsutaya. Or at least a dozen games that look exactly like it.

I sort of remember someone posting this as well.. Sega puts out some of the most amazing games in Japan, but leaves America dry. At least we got Yakuza 1+2.

Blazer Drive is awesome, and was pretty much my favorite game released in 2008. Remember how everyone was dying for a new Capcom vs SNK Card Fighters game to come out, and then that worthless DS version came out? This game fills the void I needed for a good card battler. It has a great soundtrack and the visuals (for the environments, not the battles exactly..) are really nice.

Anyway I think there's some issue (besides it being a Sega property......) with licensing. You know, something like 'it's based on some obscure comic that's only in Japan and published by company X, but company Y in America bought the rights to it 'just in case', and it would be too much of a legal hassle to release the game when it probably wouldn't make that much money anyway.'
