It's a PS3 game. I don't think it's even possible to region lock PS3 games.

SONY gave devs the option to region lock their games or not. It's just that most devs. don't.

I don't think so. There are Europeans playing our version, and Lord knows the Asian edition got imported to the US in large enough quantities.

Well, anyways good news for me.

Don't believe them since there are couple of UK gamers here in the thread that imported the US version and played the game fine.

Yeah and looking at play-asia they have them all as "no region protection".

Looks like I got fed some BS.

I'm from Germany and my Demon's Soul works perfectly fine on my PAL console, don't worry.

All PS3 games are region free. Unfortunately, the same can't be said about blu-ray movies:(

Is there any news on a possible European release yet? If not, I hope this game will be region free so I can at least import it. I'm so hyped for it.

All ps3 games are regions free I don't think a region locked ps3 game exists. Your not gonna find Europe news here, they're called Atlus U.S.A. for a reason

We're not a European publisher, so we're not the ones to ask. SouthPeak handled the EU release.

Really? Because I have some blu-ray films that I can view on my PS3 that are Japanese (and as far as I can tell are official)

The Blu-ray Disc region coding scheme divides the world into 3 regions, labeled A, B, and C.
- Region A includes most North, Central and South American and Southeast Asian countries plus Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan and Korea.
- Region B includes most European, African and southwest Asian countries plus Australia and New Zealand.
- Region C contains the remaining central and south Asian countries, as well as China and Russia.
So if you're american (or have an american PS3) you've got the same region code as Japan.
Unfortunately for us Europeans we can't play NA nor Japanese BDs -.-
