OMG YES! I just got a pure bladestone! I feel so lucky, I've only been farming it for a few days. I don't think I put in nearly as much work as some of the others on here (Sorry ICE PICK).

The best advice I can give is to have the world at pure black. I'm sure you knew that though. I got the drop with 12 luck from the dual katana skeleton near the white bow.

Before I use it though, and have regrets, which weapon do you suggest I get to +5? I really like spears and have one at sharp +4 now, and that's what I was planning, but this is certainly the hardest item in the game to get and I dont' want to regret using it on something.

For all you other pure bladestone hunters out there, take heart, it does exist. I'm a generally unlucky person in real life and even I got it

Personally I would use it on uchigatana... Then again spears are more versatile. Dang, deciding is hard.

I got mine last night. Took several days of multiple-hour farming runs. I gained somewhere near 100 levels total shooting for this thing. Thank God the hell is over.

I know right! Now I can go back to actually enjoying the game. I'm really leaning toward the winged spear but I think I'll wait a while just to savor the accomplishment.

I would use it on making a Sharp Spiked Shield+5 just for the novelity of having the best "combat shield" you can get, then go dual-shield and invade people.

But I got the trophy off someone else for free and I have no desire to use a bladestone weapon.

By the time I got the stone I was soul level 265 and I had every single unique piece of gear in the game, and damn near at least one of each non-unique pieces. I had every other stone upgrade finished on whatever I found laying around, too. I didn't need the Sharp weapon at all, so I just threw the upgrade into an loldagger and retired my character the moment I got platinum.

It's kind of sad to admit that I went through all of that for a paperweight that I'll never once even equip, but that's exactly what I did.

It's lonely after SL150, trying hard to keep my other pvp characters sub 150s, but they are just damn fun to play with!

Hope in time SL200 would be the SL150 now with more players!

It only took me about 30 minutes of farming to get my uchi to +4 from +0... was thinking pure might take like an hour or two at most to farm.

I'll just get another uchi up to +5 tearing in the meantime.. i have like 10 pure suckerstones from those slugs.

You want to know the sick thing? I'm almost positive I got a pure from one of the pickaxe guys in 2-1 early on... but my item burden was too high so I started dropping the heaviest stones... I didn't even know about upgrading then! I know it was a pure, maybe it wasn't a pure bladestone though!

Yes, they are, on average, hard to find. +0 to +4 is easy, chunk drop is pretty common, and more than one enemy drops them. The pure drop sucks.

Again, people win the lottery sometimes, but that doesn't mean that the lottery is easy to win for everyone.

Taking breaks can alleviate some of the frustration. I got mine first try after taking a long break.

That's what I do. I try for about 10 times, then turn of the console and go play something else. It can take as long as it wants, Dragon Age: Origins in keeping me company. ;)

Started farming for it on Friday, but i also needed my mecury and marrow trophies, so I could break it up and do a little of everything. Now I have the other trophies, I farmed all day yesterday for the Bladestone. Nothing. I started at SL 161, now I am at SL 212 and have 5 bladestone weapons at +4. I hate my life.

I cried 4 times yesterday, uncontrollable sobbing :(

I have now started praying to God and bargaining with Santa Claus even though I am 29!

I'm not a PvP'er, and my VIT is 11 so spear + shield is god to me. If you want the uchi; I'd give you mine for the stone.

I like the curved swords, and my crecent uchi +5 fills that role. If I'm going up against something that dangerous and want an enchantable weapon, I'd rather have the spear.
